Daiwa Fishing Weigh Scales Mission Dial Fishing Weighing Scale

I'm quite impressed with these scales - they take a lot of weight (55lb), which will more than cover the size of fish I'm targetting, but maybe not enough to weigh a netful after a session. There's a "tare" screw at the top, which allows you to adjust the tare weight with just a keepnet & weighing sling attached - which is a nice touch. The S hooks are large, which makes it easier to hang a keepnet or sling over them. I have only used them once this year, but hopefully there will be more carp asking to be weighed. The Daiwa brand means that they will be accurate & they should give you good bragging rights for that 55lb Carp ;)On the down side, these scales are very big (10" x 7" x 2" without the hooks attached), which makes it very bulky & not able to fit in a pocket. They are also fairly heavy compared with some of the smaller scales available these days. I guess it's because the weight limit is larger than the smaller variatiants. The size of the scales can also be an advantage, in that, the weight is easily read due to the large & clear front screen. Also, as some others have commented, the hooks which attach to the top & bottom of the scales are S hooks, which means that they are not permanently attached & may fall off which you're trying to put a weighing sling on. I'm sure there are various methods to bend the hooks closed, or attach some sort of elastic around the open ends - I just feel that it's something which potential buyers should be aware of before spending their hard earned cash.I still like these scales, but I'm not sure I would have bought them if I'd have know they were that big.

Fast delivery well before expected, top scales, one person did mention the hooks, I regularly fish alone and the hooks not being fixed could have been a problem however this was easily rectified and they are now fixed to the scales.

Bit disappointed with this product. Its quite big and cumbersome and the two metal S's which attach to the top and bottom for holding and attaching a sling are not permanently fixed and could quite easily be lost.

Good precise scales, just a bit heavier than what i expected. Otherwise fine.

Very pleased with the weighing scales. I haven't tried them yet but they seem very robust and well made and I am sure they will last a long time.The only criticism I have is the numbers could do with being a bit bigger because they are a bit hard to see by people like me who have poor eyesight. Apart from that excellent.

Big and strong scales. Easy to read number. Heavy but that's probably due to the quality. Very fast delivery and my dad absolutely loved them for Christmas.
