Westcott 16963 Pen-Style Retractable CarboTitanium Bonded Hobby Knife, Silver

I keep this in my Nurse work bag. Great to have to cut open little pill packs so my nails don't get wrecked.

The pen works well for it's purpose. It is discreet, I carry it around with me on a daily basis and nobody knows it's a pen knife/box cutter/has a blade instead of being a normal pen. It is quite sharp, and anytime it's gotten dull I find that cutting wood with the dull edge and cleaning it off brings it back sharper. It's really easy to use, just click the top for the blade to come out, hit the button on the holder and it retracts. I find that the button allows it to retract quite quickly, which is helpful. It weighs fine as well and is comfortable to hold. I like that's it weighted. It's fit for cutting things, which is it's job. I've never had it break or anything of the likes. 5/5 in my opinion.

I use this utility knife to open and break down boxes during my shift as needed, even though carrying a box cutter isn’t standard practice for my role. Great, sharp, compact, this tiny thing saved me thousands of dollars in repairs in a pinch when none of my tools could get the job done. Functions like a pen, retracts in a snap.

The penknife does house a very nice coated blade that cuts, scores, weeds, and scratches well. Takes only a few uses to adjust to cutting with it vs a traditional craft blade #11. It is Easy to over plunge, blade will go through too far. The edge of blade will not contact the material being cut as the blade sticks out on thin plastic blade cartridge stem. Would give 4 star however, while my knife arrived looking and cutting fine, the build quality was not great. The cutting end cap was loose, the entire pen is desert dry and clean, so the action was so stiff couldn't easily get it to retract. Had to lubricate with some "dry* lock lube and a little graphite to get the retractable part to work at all or reliably. A Little lube goes a long way, the item was priced as a premium knife, shouldn't have to work on it after purchase to make it function properly.

Las cuchillas son muy buenas, pero el bolígrafo no, los materiales con los que esta fabricado son buenos, el problema es que se desprendió el clip al poco tiempo de uso y en la parte superior trae una pequeña goma que se undio apenas si la tocas, también desenrosquee la punta para cambiar la cuchilla y ahora al enroscarla por completo no funciona bien, no compren este producto
