It’s nice, squirrels get a little frustrated and move on, so they’re not lounging there all day, which was my goal.

I bought 2 of these feeders to use for winter so I don’t have to fill as often. I’m using one now to try it out.Works well and the birds seem to love it as much as their smaller unit I have. I use a small toothbrush to clean the bottom rim. Remove the solar top to fill feeder.

I bought some expensive seed that included peanuts and fruit and the feeder doesn't accommodate the larger pieces. The tray is so narrow that the seed clogged up and it's difficult to clean. I changed seed to a sunflower chip no waste and am finally drawing in some birds.

This was better and bigger than expected. It comes assembled, however the upper and lower parts of the birdfeeder are nested together. So you do have to lift the top ring up in order to extend it to its full height. The cord for hanging is a thick gaged metal wire. The wire is covered in a sleeve of plastic. It protects the wire from the elements as well as protecting the tree or the hook from being scratched by the metal. I love the little perches that are on the outside. This is a great way for the birds to sit and gather seeds. The inside of the base it is dome shaped. This really helps to push the seeds outward to the area where the birds can reach them. There’s also a drainage hole in the middle so that water doesn’t accumulate and destroy the feeder and the seeds. The light is a string of fairy lights that is wrapped around the interior rim of the roof. They light up the entire circumference of the lid and are on the inside of the cage so that they are not accessible to the birds. The solar panel is on the exterior of the roof and the on and off switch is easily accessed from there. The bird feed can simply be poured right into the top by lifting the roof up a few inches. You don’t even need to remove it from wherever it is hanging. The size and look of it is much more impressive in person. I would say it is the diameter of a gallon of milk. If you choose to fill this to the top you will definitely need to put it on a very sturdy branch or hook as it will hold a lot of birdseed.

It’s a great bird feeder and I love the top that is secure and keeps the squirrels out.

It's a good bird feeder but the squirrels in my neighborhood feed like it was for them and the main reason I bought it was it stated squirrel proof.

The oiled sunflower seed emptys quicker than my older mesh bulk feeder. I think the trough at the bottom allows birds such as bluejays to gorge themselves without having to work hard at getting the seed through the mesh. It is sturdy, easy to clean and looks good. Also easy to fill.

Fantastic product .. squirrel proof but unlike other feeders it attracts the larger birds. We have cardinals and blue jays for the first time. Worth every cent

not made for any snow bottom freezes up and birds cant get the seeds out
