QUALITY FAUX LEATHER SANDRINGHAM HEADBOARD IN 2ft6,3ft,4ft,4ft6,5ft,6ft NEW!!!!! (5FT KINGSIZE, BROWN)

Such a disappointing purchase, it arrived in no boxed packaging just a see through plastic bag over it which is not protecting the item at all during transit will all the other parcels in the courier van. Having said that the item appears not damaged but it is going back due to the poor quality of how they have put the pleats in the fabric, I did notice that some customers had commented that the pleats cane out after a few months but this has arrived like it and not everyone had made the comment out of over 400 reviews. The photo on the left shows a lovely pleat in the middle section, the next photo shows what the pleats look like at either end, the fabric is all baggy and the pleats sticks out as a lump rather than a fold, I have tried poking it back in but there just isn’t anything to hold it in place, it looks scruffy and uneven and is not acceptable for a new item, Shane as the material is really nice, they just need to improve on how they pleat and secure the fabric in place. This will be going back for a refund as would look horrible. UPDATE: company ignored all my emails and it took over 5 weeks to finally get a refund through amazon a-z claim and lots of phone calls with amazon. would not recommend this seller, they should not be bribing customers with a refund if negative feedback is removed! Beware

I am amazed at the excellent quality of these headboards having 'risked' ordering 5 at once. The delivery was swift, my only issue was that the company didn't reply my email asking for an estimate of delivery as it was to another address! The product looks very professional, classy, thick, luxurious and the silver is muted and very elegant, so much so, that my friend who own and B&B locally will be ordering these for their establishment in the very near future. Thank you Crown Beds! (Just please answer emails - customer service is essential!)For those who have compained about the legs of the headboard being too short, they are not. ALL headboards come with a standard length, YOU have to fit it to the height you want off the floor and tighten it sufficiently leaving a gap for the mattress. There are now wall brackets available (I got mine for £5 is from ebay delivered) which allow for these to be permanently fixed to the wall - use spring toggle bolts for plasterboard.

edit 5 years afyer purchase - does wear out maybe after 2-3 years and the pic is after 5 years. bit minging so i might buy a new one.orginal review:Excellent product - I lost my headboard bolts that came with my 15 year old bed - used 2 from a old bed and even that is secure enough (just obviously dont jump on your bed all the time!).Good quality, comfy and looks good - word of warning though, unpack it and wait a week before you install it as there is a slight chemical smell (like a tyre) but once that goes its fine.

So, so pleased with this, it was ordered for our student daughter, now living away from home. We needed a 4ft size headboard and for the price we were amazed with the quality and colour (cream) was perfect, also it came with free delivery, arrived within 48 hours of the order and was easy to fit. Fab!!

I wish I'd bought this years ago! I have never had a headboard on my bed as our room is small and my husband refused to allow me to buy one, as he thought it'd push the bed out from the wall and narrow the gap between the end of the bed and the wardrobe. The headboard is lovely and soft to lean on, has stopped my hair from sticking to the wall and ruining the paintwork, and my husband has admitted he likes it too... and it doesn't take up any more room in the room as the brackets are only as thick as the skirting board.....! And the price was a fifth of the price of a headboard in our local bed shop..... what's not to like!

It's a shame there were a few things wrong with this item as for the money a few small things done better could have made it overall a good item. Not hotel quality as per previous reviews. Stitching not great on the individual sections so makes the fabric look loose. Wooden slats to fix to your bed which my husband had to re-adjust to fit a standard single divan bed. There was an inordinate amount of staples on the back of the headboard which were attached to the packaging which took ages to remove both the staples which looked ugly but the packaging too. We ordered the cream headboard which had a few black marks on the front. They came off ok though with a bit of soapy water. Looks ok now and daughter is happy but don't think this will last so will be ordering a more expensive better quality headboard soon. You definitely get what you pay for here. Ordered on Sunday arrived on Thursday.

The headboard was received in a dirty condition due to the lack of packaging. A flimsy plastic bag offers no protection to the courier who had dragged it around on the corners. A thorough clean was needed before it could be installed. The wooden legs provided were poor quality and around six inches too short so installed my own . All around the sides which remain visible when installed the backing material is not fixed flat to the board and looks unsightly. After another fix of my own It was greatly improved. Overall you gets what you pay for and its only just worth the cost. Not recommended I am afraid.

The product is less than half the price of the nearest competition. It's cheap. But what did you expect? Great care was taken to ensure mine arrived without damage, it was wrapped two times in very tough plastic. The edges covered in thick cardboard, the corners protected by swatches of the leatherette material. A lot of care was taken, arguably more care than went into making the product but it is still acceptable. The leatherette on mine was tight, the pleats were right, it looks ok. For the price of four good bottles of wine you can't complain. Assembly was easy but the screw heads are a bit small, if they included two 2p washers it would have been much better (I supplied my own). This is not a piece of furniture you'll hand down to your children. Will it last a year or two? I'll post back and let you all know.
