Liona Boyd : Live In Concert VHS

I have order this DVD thinking it was a different Concert than the other one, (they are two) to find out is EXACTLY the same Concert, Same Show than Lynn Anderson Live at The Renaissance Center. That's Right!, Would you believe that! both came out the Same Year 2004Number 1: Lynn Anderson Live In Concert andNumber 2: Lynn Anderson Live At The Renaissance CenterBoth are The Same, IDENTICAL Shows, Different Cover Photos The First one is a tight shot of a younger Lynn's face, shorter hair and wearing a necklace. The Second one She is Wearing a Yellow Country Jacket with her right Hand Pointing Up.There's a HUGE difference between both, the First one "Lynn Anderson Live in Concert" Packs an OUTSTANDING SOUND, Yeah! I was very surprised. What a difference good sound makes! even everything else looks better and Is The One To Get, If you can Find it... I'm glad I discovered this, I Purchased both of Them, Don't Make The Same Mistake I Did! See my Review of the Second DVD "Lynn Anderson Live At The Renaissance Center"There's another DVD called The Best Of Lynn Anderson, taped at the Cheyenne Saloon in Opryland, Orlando, Florida in 1986. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this video and will watch it often. If you don't enjoy the poetry, tune it out and concentrate on the music. However, I imagine it must be difficult to play so well and recite at the same time. I definitely would recommend this video to anyone interested in classical guitar. I especially enjoy the closeups of the hands (fingers).

I heard good things about her. I bought the video and it was awful. She starts reciting poetry and playing a bunch of Sagreras studies to accompany it. Waste of money. Maybe her other one is better. Her technique seems bad also.

I have this australian import Concert DVD...and if you have never seen these ladies in concert, you must get a copy of this performance. The oldest sister will be 60 this year and when it comes to energy and stamina - age aint nothin' but a number!!If you don't want to wait for the US release, purchase the "Collection" cd and DVD combo. It has some of the live show as a preview to the entire concert.

"Live In Concert" adds excellent visual dimension to the classical guitar music of Liona Boyd. This video takes me back to many wonderful recitals by Liona. The camera close-ups show much additional detail of Liona's guitar technique which is otherwise diffucult to see from the theatre seats. Liona provides interesting anecdotes and also recites love poetry by Garcia Lorca and Pablo Naruca while she plays some of the concert pieces.This video is a must-buy for all fans of Liona Boyd and the classical guitar. We look forward to more live concerts and videos by this artist.
