OUTSTANDING BOOK !
Brilliant book, so easy to use & full of information. I've always been a gym goer but I've been getting bored of late doing the same thing, working the same muscles. This book not only gets you using smaller muscle group that you don't always tend to use at the gym but it breaks the excerise down explaining what muscles you are using and my God did i feel it the next day 😁 Amazing book..... Love it

Useful Book
This book comes from a great Series of books "101" and contains some good ideas for use with weights. I use this book for ideas when doing Lesson Plans for my Pilates Classes when using Toning Balls / Small dumb bells. As like all of this range of books it has both photograph(s), written instructions, number of reps and gives you combination of exercises.

Weights...and a bench
I feel like this title should be called "101 Ways to Work out with Weights...and some times a gym bench:...." a lot of the workouts use a gym bench, it's difficult to compensate at home with chairs and a couch, maybe would have looked for a different book had I known...does have some good work outs though so it is useful.

Switch up your training
I borrowed this book from the library, but after I saw how many flags I had placed in the book, for things to try, to mix up my workouts, decided I had to own this book. I try to incorporate one new move into each workout. So far I have been able to target muscles in a completely different way than my usual workout, both at home and at the gym. And I have the sore muscles to prove it. It is true, no pain, no gain with muscle training. I also really love the way all the engaged muscles are listed. Some muscle groups are hard to target, and I also love moves that engage lots of different muscled, much more efficient and functional.

Yeah! My Search is OVER!!!
Wow! I have been working out with dumbells off and on for 25 years. In the past, I relied on Joyce Vedral. Now I find myself with 75 pounds of extra weight from 4 pregnancies and over indulging, so I am back to weights and cardio. It has been a very difficult journey to find a new updated book that has strictly dumbell exercises. I just completed my second workout and I am so thrilled that I purchased this book (based on other reviews). The author has done a great job on creating a book that is easy to follow with good instructions and photos. The glossy pages are a must for workout books as well - thank you! The exercises are clearly numbered at the top corner so they are easy to find. She also gives several workout options for body parts as well as body types so that I can fit in any workout I want, follow it easily and get it done in a reasonable amount of time. As an OTR, I also appreciate the movements that not only required strength but balance, as this diminishes with age. I applaud the author and would highly recommend this book to anyone who exercises with dumbells and to all fitness levels.

Good Exercise Book for Women
I have lifted weights since 1985 and own my bench which is now falling apart. Its big, clunky, a hassle when moving, and a similar bench like it is hard to find. I have had to spend hours searching the internet for this style, and while I did find one, I decided I better look at alternatives. The adage "less is more" is my personal philosophy, so I needed exercises that worked out the same muscle groups as I do now and without the use of a bench, and this book provides those. It has tons of possible exercises. If you are a female just starting out weight lifting, I would recommend this route ---free weights and exercises rather than investing in a bench like I did. It just makes for a simpler, less costly hobby than joining a gym with the advantage you can work out at your convenience, and the initial investment of the weights plus this book will be the only $$$ investment you will need for the rest of your "work out" life.
