Stylish and versatile, the original Desert Boot from Clarks launched in 1950 by Nathan Clark and was inspired by a rough boot from Cairo's Old Bazaar. An instant hit, it became the footwear of choice for off-duty army officers. Premium leather or suede is teamed with an unfussy lace fastening, contrast stitching and our signature crepe sole. Review: Fake - This item is not authentic. These are not Clarks shoes. I highly recommend NOT buy them. Review: After being interested in these for several years, I finally pulled the trigger and bought a pair. Here are my thoughts. I wear a 10.5, so I took the advice and got a half-size smaller. Length matched, but the width was a bit narrow. Not enough to send back and they stretch out fairly soon. This is a good thing because with only 2 eyelets a side, a snug fit is probably not possible. Again, this is a good thing because the heritage of this shoe is casual wear, not strenuous work. They are not 'cushiony' and I feel a little bit of the seam between the heel and front-foot on the right side when I first start walking in them, even after breaking them in. I also notice the cup of the heel on both shoes for the first few minutes of walking. Both soon go away. I saw several mentions of water leaving stains when they get wet. I noted this and, even though I had no intention of wearing these in the rain, I've avoided water whenever possible. I did however get a couple of drops on them and, sure enough, you can see them a few weeks later. Don't wear them when the weather threatens rain. I got these to get a less boyish look when I wear shorts in warm/hot weather when I'm out running light errands. I'm pleased with the results. These are quality shoes that I will be able to wear for years. The expense suggest an everyday wear shoe, and I get that, but these are not that type of shoe. But under the right conditions, you can, and will, get a lot of wear out of them.

Just what I expected

This is my 4th pair of Desert Chukkas - the original and they have always been a great shoe. They last a very long time and wear comfortably after a short break in period. I have also had a few other Clark boots similar to the original desert boot and they also have been comfortable and long lasting. I would guess I get about 500 plus wear days out of each pair of desert chukkas. The uppers have never failed but eventually the soles get thin and split. I wear a size 9 in most shoes but an 8.5 in these.

Absolute classics which can add something to most looks. Really comfy and plenty of room straight out of the box - just a minor grumble with the foam pad in the heel…fairly common with other shoes I’ve found but it’s quite firm for the first couple of wears and can cause some discomfort at the heel. Once softened and moulded to your foot shape they’re a dream though and look great dressed up or down!

クラークスのオリジナルデザートブーツは随分前からリピート買いです。型崩れもなくソウルの耐久性も満足です。購入後すぐに防水スプレー2本使って乾かしてから履くのがおすすめ。全然汚れもつかず長持ちします。
