Great Board Book
My two year old LOVES non-fiction books about animals. This book (and its series) are short (no more than ten pages), with beautiful photographs that capture a toddler’s curiosity.

Lovely!
My daughter is really interested in birds so I was very excited to give her this book. She loves it! She wanted to read it over and over the very first time she saw it. Some reviewers mentioned that the content was too simple...I completely disagree! I think it’s spot on for my 2 1/2 year old and will continue to be appropriate for her for at least another year. Really beautiful book, I highly recommend.

Perfect for Bird lover kids
My twin great grand Boys love Birds like me. This book is perfect for them to learn. They both love it.

OK. Granddaugther likes it.
It is a nice book, the pictures are great, but the birds are not named. They just name the color of the bird. It would have been better if the bird's actual name was there like Cardinal or Blue Jay (which are the only two I know).

Son likes the pictures
My 20 month old loves looking at the bird pictures in this book. This book features pictures of real birds and shows them in their natural habits. My son likes all of the colors and the leaves and seeing the birds do stuff like eat a seed. Not much in the way of a story, but he doesn’t care. He looks at this book over and over again.

Must have
These books are amazing - your child or children will love the vibrant colors. My daughter enjoys reading about birds, this book allows the child to interact (opening your mouth like a baby bird and clapping your hands for the flying bird). These books are a must have.

Great illustrations, not a great read
I really love nature/ animal based books using real photographs. Of course this book is beautiful because it’s national geographic. I was hoping to use this to teach my toddler the names of different birds but instead it just called each bird “red bird” blue bird”. Disappointed, but I kept it anyways because it still useful with the other facts and leaning colours and I can just say the names myself.

No description about the birds at all
The media could not be loaded. There is no description about the birds, they have not even mentioned their names.. how will you explain about birds to the children if you don't have the knowledge about them. Also very basic information is given about the birds.

Lovely basic board book
This is a lovely board book for the youngest readers (ages 1-2), teaching the very basic colours. It would benefit greatly (benefit the intended audience) if the names of the birds were provided so that kids would learn that birdies have collective names (as opposed to personal) and that would make this book more appealing to older kids, say 4-year-olds who are into some 'serious learning' :) And for younger readers, it would be great to see individual details separately (like, a feather when feathers are mentioned). It is an adorable book, great photos of real living creatures, parents can elaborate describing the photos, but if you are having one of them days when your eloquence gone down the drain with the washing up soap, the book won't have much prompting (only a personal view).

Not a good book, get the other one
There's are different bird board book by same company that is much better. This one doesn't even name the birds, just goes by colours. It would be good for a child who needs a very simple book. Not good for a child with a keen interest in birds.

Book about colours !! Not birds.
Great photographs of birds but not a book about birds, it's about colours - different colour birds; the species of the birds is not even named. So that's very missleading. Still, my boy (19months) likes to flick through it regularly.
