Zoom G1Xon Guitar Floor Multi-Effects Pedal

Excellent product

Pros: Sounds great / lots of options / drum machine / Looper Cons: Would like more control / Location of buttons / batter charger (read below) I'm a professional musician, but only part time, and the electric guitar is not my primary instrument. So a cheap solution for an effects pedal is what I needed. And this works perfectly. I give this a full 5 star rating because my only cons are my own, and the price of this device is perfect. I have used a cheap Digitech effects pedal for years, and have had to repair the foot switch buttons and guitar connector wayyy too many times. I finally had enough, shopped around and settled on this one. I love that there are so many options, but as with any new device, it's a learning curve to figure everything out. I love the amber/back-lit display. Navigation is a bit sketchy on the unit itself. But I have installed an after-market desktop program called "ToneLib Zoom". Which is amazing and works great. (I'm curious why Zoom does not have their own editor/controller for their products. * I would like more foot controller functions, and think Zoom should provide a USB option for this as well. The buttons for the "Rhythm" and "Looper" features are recessed and not easily accessed (on the fly). As well as the "Home" and a few others. But I am currently working on a modification for wiring up my own external foot-switch to be able to control a few more of the functions. I'll provide details if anybody is interested. * There is a dial for changing parameters, tempo, and other features. It is located directly in front of the display. So while using it, your hand is actually covering up part of the display. So that could be easier, in my opinion. * Charger? Rechargeable Batteries? There is an option in the setting for selecting Alkaline or NiMh (rechargeable) batteries. I'm not sure what this option is for, because when using NiMh rechargeable batteries, it does not provide the ability to charge the batteries while it is plugged in. I would imagine that would be a useful feature. Otherwise, why is there even an option for selecting the different battery types? Anyway, overall, the device is awesome and I am more than pleased with it. I'm just one of those guys that likes to modify stuff, and I'm always looking for ways to make a simple thing a little better.

Por su precio no esperaba tanto, es pequeño y práctico, recomendable si quieres ensayar sin necesitad de ocupar amplificador (puedes conectarle audifonos y listo) a comparación de multiefectos del mismo rango de precios este suena mucho mejor que cualquiera de ellos.

This is incredibly amazing. It gives plenty of effect in just Rs6000- Rs8000. With various amp models ,drive/dist.,pedal effect , modulation effect and all other effects you can create the tone or effect you want. I suggest u all to buy this if you are looking for a good guitar processor at very cheap cost. I've been using it for 6 months and till date there's no issue with it . I've used it several times in live performances. It's easy to use. To make new tone you just need to have experience to that and then you can create ANY tone you want ....... More over it is given with 100 presets I think you will get your desired effect in those presets or if not you can make one. It is made out of plastic like material and the base is metal .though it is plastic but still it is durable. I read some of the reviews it was written that it is for beginners the answer is No. It give you a good and superior sound quality unless you speaker or amplifier is not malfunctioning.

Love my G1Xon! Makes jamming out on my electric guitar so much fun. Amazing value and features. Can use it with headphones or even computer speakers. Only con it's not very sturdy - but what do you except at this price point. Impressed.

Its the ultimate pedal, fully loaded with features, i have been using it for a month now. It did give me a "LOT" of noise at the beginning, so the first thing i did was,i lowered my main amplifier voulme since this unit already comes with a pre-amp in it it can get exremely loud ! Then, i lowered the master volume of the entire unit from the main menu, later i also started adjusting the individual patch volume under the patch settings section, i also used the noise gate provided virtually, these changes helped to significantly reduce the noise, but once i replaced the cable connecting my guitar to the unit with a very good professional-quality cable the noise totally vanished, and it has been working like a charm ever since... 100%noiseles, even without the noise gate ! Its a boon for beginners, it comes loaded with hundreds of pedals and patches at a very cheap price, i especially find the drum machine part very useful for practicing. You can virtually create your own sounds by linking upto 5 pedals in series, and if you want to copy your favourite artists guitar tones you cound also search and copy settings from the web there are certain websites containing large databases where patches have already been created and shared. And finally, about the metal sounds(for beginners), Some decent,Modern Metal like sounding patches can be created using the "tube screamer", "booster"and the "metal world distortion" pedals which are virtually provided, after some careful adjustments they sound pretty kickass!. But make sure you are using professional quality cables for the connections otherwise they will be too noisy and its gonna sound like garbage ! And lastly the preamp, is also a cool feature you can also connect the unit to the headphones and practise in silence or on the move without an amplifier. For power it can easily be connected to a laptop via usb, rechargable cells is also a better option for portability. But the batteries last barely for 4-5 hours ! So to conclude, go for it without a second thought ! Its too much for a very cheap price !
