Africa's Best Organics Kids Organic Conditioning Relaxer No-Lye Kids Regular

I used the Africa’s Best Kids Organics Conditioning Relaxer (Regular) on my 7-year-old’s hair, which is fine to normal texture, and it actually worked really well. Her hair came out straighter, softer, and easier to manage. The instructions were clear, and I liked that everything came in the box—relaxer, neutralizing shampoo, conditioner, scalp protector, and even gloves. The smell wasn’t too strong either, which I appreciated. What I really liked was how soft her hair felt afterward. It didn’t feel dry or damaged, and detangling was much easier. The included hair lotion helped too. Just a few things to keep in mind: You really have to follow the instructions carefully, especially with timing. If you leave it on too long, it can cause irritation. I did the strand test and used the scalp protector, and she had no burns or issues. It’s not super strong (which is good for kids), but if your child has very thick or coarse hair, you might need something stronger or more than one application. Overall, I think it’s a good relaxer for kids if used correctly. Her hair looked neat, shiny, and healthy afterward, and it lasted for a few weeks. I would use it again, but always with caution and close supervision.

First time relaxing my daughter’s 4C hair. Her hair is now silky smooth, tangle free and easy to manage compared to previously. There was also no burning or discomfort while applying due to the scalp protect product included in the box. Great product! My daughter is very happy!

I found the directions very easy to follow. I used it on my 9 year old daughters hair. It relaxed her hair just enough to make it manageable on the shortest times on the instructions.

So I bought this product because I was apprehensive of regular grown woman relaxers. I wanted something mild and gentle on the scalp. Well, I'm sorry to say it burns. My application time was about 8 minutes (virgin 4c hair, medium length, relatively big head) and I couldn't even wait 5 minutes, the way this product burned. I washed it off faster than anything you could imagine! And while it did soften my hair, I am writing this review for mothers who may want to use this product on young girls as it is purpoted to be safe for children. It will burn. Please consider something else and please believe your little girls when they say the product burns.
