Window washing should be hard and unpleasant and when finished, very unsatisfactory. That's why "I don't do windows" is a common mantra. I live in a house that had to be especially insulated to meet city code because I have more windows in my moderate sized home than has the Trump Tower. Nowadays everyone's yard man uses a high velocity blower to move all the dirt, dust and debris into the air and all around the neighborhood...so my windows accumulate a good coating of dirt from minutes after they are cleaned. Window services want about a months mortgage to clean my windows. I thought I'd give it a try, doing a few at a time and save myself the price of a new big screen tv. Glass cleaning with microfiber cloths seemed to be the way to go according to stuff I read on the internet, so I went to Amazon for product. Here's what I learned: clean your windows with a damp or wet rag...cotton will do and so will your car wash mitt...even just a high pressure garden hose with a sponge mop. Get em free of dirt. THEN, with this wonderful pack of cloths, wipe off any runs, drips, or residual dirt with the green cloth and follow up immediately, with the blue, with just enough pressure to wipe off any water beads. You can rub any tough spots with the green, but the blue is simply to wipe off the water...a very light touch and only enough passes to wipe off the water. Be sure to rinse your green cloths and wring out excess water so you don't just smear accumulated dirt on subsequent windows, and use a new blue when the current one shows signs of wet. You cannot do better with window cleaner, squeegees, newspaper, vinegar or any of the other things us older folks have used for years. These microfiber cloths are fantastic if you do my three step method. Not so sure about other brands, I did buy a large pack of other microfiber cloths but they ended up being used for step 1. This is a great product!

I'm a bit OCD about windows and mirrors whether in our home or in our vehicles. I've tried a lot of products but eventually there would be build up, residue or other factors that made the cleaning of these items more difficult. Knowing that we would be hosting a few friends over the summer prompted me to order these cloths. The windows and mirrors sparkled. The true test came when I was swamped with work and I wanted to have the windows of the car I would be using to transport guests, cleaned. I am married to a wonderful man who is awesome but cleaning is not his forte. I gave him the green (moistened) and blue towels along with a brief tutorial and instructions to return them to me because I would be laundering them separately from the general laundry. I figured the windows would probably be streaked but would be better than not cleaning them at all. He did as I asked. The next morning I got into the car and headed to the airport which meant I was driving into sunlight. About 10 minutes into the drive I realized that the windows were clean....not streaky or bearing the nose prints of our dog. They were cleaned, perfectly, by a person who rarely cleans anything. The product worked and was easy to use. The only down side is laundering the towels separately but that is a small inconvenience considering the ease of use and outstanding performance.

I must admit that I was skeptical that these would work. I have tried at least a dozen window cleaners over the past few years only to be disappointed…again. We have a lot of windows. BIG windows. Tall windows. I love the natural lighting and the views but cleaning them was a disappointment regardless of what I tried. Cleaning the inside and outside requires a ladder for several. Thinking you have a good outcome only to see streaks. Even with working with a partner (one inside and one outside) pointing to questionable areas still resulted in streaks and smudges. I figured what the heck I would give this a try. We had just hand new windows installed with reflective glass since the biggest windows are on the East and West side of the house to reduce the heat of summer. (Windows work great, provide more privacy and definitely reduced the heat and will reduce sun fade but that’s another story) This system is easy and chemically free which is important on windows with reflective glass as instructions for cleaning and care specify nothing with vinegar or ammonia products. The green cloth I rinsed in warm tap water (yes, we do have a water softener), wrung out that cloth and starting at the top wiped the window paying attention to corners and edges to be sure I had wiped the whole area. The using the blue cloth dry started back again at the top and paying the same attention to edges and corners wiped dry the window. Beautiful! No smudges, smears, streaks, fibers or lint on the window. I tossed the cloths into the washer then the dryer and I’m ready to go again. These even did a good job on removing dog nose and toddler finger smears.

Very good option to keep IN THE VEHICLE for road trips? I like that all you need is water on the green towel and a quick pass with the blue. No chemicals! I find it odd they supply only the one green though since it's doing the heavy lifting. It cleans better than certain name brand cleaners b/c there is literally NO SMUDGE or residue. But there is one cleaner I found which leaves glass looking almost invisible which I find is much better inside and outside for the windows when pretty dirty. I had never cleaned the sunroof glass and this green towel would not have gotten very dirty in that application. So keep in mind there may be limits.

I’ve had mixed experiences with microfiber cleaning in general, but these quite reasonably-priced cloths worked where other products failed. I’ve tried different glass cleaner sprays, different cloths, different techniques... nothing has worked as quickly, easily, and effectively as this glass cleaning system. For me, it’s the streaks on the inner windshield that show up in the sunlight or while driving at night with other headlights coming towards you- those streaks distract me and reduce visibility, and I can never seem to effectively banish them altogether. Until these cloths. There are 8 microfiber cloths, 2x green ‘cleaning’ cloths and 6x blue ‘buffing’ cloths. At first it seems odd- why not 4 and 4? After doing some cleaning, it makes sense. You wet the green cloth, and can rinse/wring it as many times as necessary, but you absolutely need a DRY blue towel to finish the job correctly. You use and need more of the blue towels, so this package is actually quite well thought-out. First wet the green cloth, wring out excess water so it’s just damp, and wipe down the glass surface. Before the water can dry, follow up with a clean and dry blue towel. Buff the whole surface completely dry, and what you’re left with is a wonderful streak-free shine. No chemicals necessary, none of those hidden streaks that only show in the right lighting... this is easily the best glass cleaning system I’ve used. I really like not messing around with sprays and splatter and strange films/residues. Bottom line, this product is fantastic. I’ve cleaned several glass surfaces, I’ve cleaned surfaces that had crud I thought wouldn’t come off without a spray, and I’ve laundered the cloths (hot water, mild detergent, no fabric softener, wash only with other microfiber, air dry) and they’re still performing beautifully. These are my new glass cleaning go-to, and I will recommend them to friends and family.

These towels really are nice! I have RA, and my hands are very crippled. But these towels have made cleaning my windows so much easier for me. They work, no streaks or having to go over and over to get a clear result. I had questions when I received them and I contacted the company. They also have a website with videos and information on care if you didn't receive instructions. I'm totally converted to washing my car windows with these rags and only water. When you properly wipe and buff the exterior windows, it's as if there is RainX on the windows. Water beads off of it. I've been using these for 2 years, and I now believe that plain water with these rags is better than using window cleaner!
