It works very well
I used this to zero in the laser sight on my home defense shotgun. Just adjust your laser sight until two dots merge into one, and bada boom you're done. Well-built should last a lifetime.

Worth the buy
Lite weight. Very easy to use, makes sighting in your 12g very easy and accurate. Fits perfect just like a normal shell. Made of good quality materials. I recommend this.

Super simple to use
Super simple to use. Built very nicely, and feels sturdy. Made bore sighting super easy, and was very easy to see. The only thing I would change, would be a way to turn it on and off easily.

Fit nice and snug in chamber, rotated and no change in 25'. Nice and bright. Only disadvantage is you can't cycle through gun, you need to pull out but that wasn't enough to drop a star for. No On/Off so you have to take batteries out, but comes with two sets and I'm not looking to use this a lot. Much cheaper than taking to gunsmith.

Waste of Money
I purchased the laser shell to help configure my ShotKam on my shotgun which I put on every week I shoot. The Red Dot Laser Bore Sight in-Chamber Cartridge was recommended by ShotKam so I expected a reasonable quality product. However my laser shell is worst than worthless. I first tried to use the laser cartridge at the trap range projecting the beam about 35 yards at a skeet house. I discovered that the beam could only be seen at a 10' or less projection in broad daylight and any distance beyond that couldn't be seen. I then tried using the laser cartridge in lower light conditions by sighting my ShotKam in my basement. With my shotgun bench mounted securely I was able to see the projected dot at a 30 yard distance between camera and a "target" (the far wall) at a "hot dot" for sighting purpose. I tried to configure the camera with the Red Dot Laser Bore Sight in-Chamber Cartridge but the laser dot danced all over the wall depending how the shell was oriented in the chamber of the barrel. I could rotate the Laser Bore Cartridge and the projected dot would create a 12" radius (24" diameter!!!) circle around the hot dot target. Perhaps this is close enough for government work but it won't work for calibrating my camera. The Red Dot Laser Bore Sight in-Chamber Cartridge was a big disappointment and a total waste of my time and money.
