Samsung CY-STC1100 TV Camera

The camera is neat and unobtrusive, was easy to install and gives a nice image.The beauty of having the camera on the TV is that my grandchildren in the USA can speak to more than one person when we Skype and can see us all sitting on the sofa, much better than a 1 to 1.There is even a cable clip to enable the cable to be secured neatly against the back of the TV.

It arrived the next day after ordering (I love impulsive buys!) - plugged it into my Samsung UE40D6510 and it worked instantly. Absolutely invaluable for Skype video calls - every week I call my family back home in Australia and it's brilliant to have them up on the big screen. They tell me the picture quality they get from us is incredible.It just snaps on magnetically behind the TV, and has microphones on either side of the camera however I've learned that to get the best quality from the microphone you have to adjust the height of the unit above the top rim of the TV.I have to say it's a bit pricey at £100 or so - but it is a quality unit and has not disappointed.

When the item arrived it did not work even though it was a simple plug and play attachment. We returned it to the supplier in Germany at our own cost and the supplier initially wanted to send it to Samsung for repair. After some delays and a serious lack of communication from the supplier as well as initial problems with language barriers they then they agreed to send us a replacement web cam as per our request as well as agreeing to refund our postage costs if we agreed to amend our feedback on Amazon from poor, which we did, to say that they had now resolved the issue. They then said they would send a replacement web cam within days. However the next communication we received was direct from Amazon to say we would be receiving a full refund and no replacement as we had returned the goods! And no refund of return postage costs either! Disgusting service and definitely not a supplier I will ever be touching again. I've also since discovered that the web cam is not compatible with the Samsung C8000 TV despite being advertised as such.

Great for video-conference, but it's impossible to zoom out - so the whole meeting room is not in the screen.

at first i didnt think off the camera ,as it come out the packing, but then after i wired it up to my Led samsung Smart 46 inch 6530 Tv ,and i talked on Skype to my Friends in Finland from the Uk and a friend in Brazil, bolivia and Australia and the kept sayin claus what you got for a camera there and as i told them the where over exited with it, ,my friend in finland bought the same Tv and Cameram so its really great add on to the tv , i am happy with it

I bought one of these from a company that closed down, not Amazon! It packed up after about a year and we had hardly used it but of course it comes on and goes off each time with the TV fed through the USB.I recommend you only plug it in when you want to use it to preserve life of camera.

I originally bought the latest version of Samsung Skype camera (VG-STC3000) for my Samsing UE46C8000 TV but it didn't work, even though thre Samsung website said it would (web information now changed), so I phoned Samsung and was told that because my TV was pre-2011 (November 2010 - how pre-2011 is that..??), I could only use the older and almost out of date camera, the CY-STC1100, which by pure annoyance was double the price of the latest model.I ordered the STC1100, and it arrived from Cherrrypickelectronics 2 days after the end of the delivery window, which was already a 7-day window, and plugged it in to my telly.EUREKA - it JUST WORKED, straight out of the box. BRILLIANT... Well, mostly. A friend has a late model 6500-series Samsung and STC3000 camera and their Skype function is substantially beeter than mine. So much for buying top-of-the line-equipment which is not adequately upgradeable.Overall recommendation - if this is the only camera that works with your Samsung, buy it. You won't be massively disappointed, except with the price.

Cette caméra est simple d'utilisation, il suffit de la brancher, votre téléviseur, si il est relié à internet fait le reste. Astucieuse la partie aimantée, vous fixez la caméra au dessus de la télé, elle tient seule et est très esthétique.

Kürzliche gekaufte Samsung TVSkype Kamera ist super. Sie liefert klasse Bilder. Ich betreibe sie mit dem UE 7090 Einfach anstecken und fertig, der Rest erledigt sich alleine danach nur noch bei Skype anmelden fertig.Das anbringen am TV ist easy da mit Magnet, mann kann sie so anbringen das nur noch die Kamera oben zu sehen ist.das Bild ist ebenfalls Klasse.Ich finde sie etwas teuer...........aber Qualität und Funktion/Ausstattung sind gut.Und wie immer bei Amazon super Service war zuckzuck da.

Il prodotto è buono, ma niente di che. Fa il suo lavoro egregiamente, ma ha una luce blu sempre accesa quando è connessa all'usb del televisore acceso. Ti dà l'impressione che qualcuno ti spii sempre. Fondamentalmente serve agli altri per vedere bene te. Se gli altri hanno una vga, la qualità dello streaming skype fa pena cmq. Consigliata? Ni. Meglio fare le chiamate sul tablet o lo smartphone...

Skype sur grand écran depuis le canapé c'est génial.Bien que non précisé dans la doc, cette caméra fonctionne parfaitement avec une Smart TV Samsung EU40ES5700SXZF.La led reste allumée même si l'on n'est pas dans skype. Ce serait mieux avec un bouton marche/arrêt ou un obturateur d'objectif.
