Great product and enviro friendly
I’ve been using this powder for 8 months and I love it. I like that it doesn’t have plastics, phosphates (environmentally friendly) and that it’s made in Canada. It cleans excellent. Hint.. I do also make sure I have a rinse agent in the DW auto dispenser. That is also important as I have read that if you start having moisture or streaking left on your dishes check the prince agent amount. Also cleaning out the filter/screen helps. I’m still on the first container and one scoop is enough so price point is also good. I’m a slight bit mixed on the can container .. looks nice. It arrived with a dented top (presumably from shipping) and it is hard to get off so I have it under the sink and the lid on loose. Perhaps if the lid wasn’t dented it may go on/off easier. Good that it’s a recyclable container. I’m am overall very satisfied and highly recommend this product!!

Old school style new school clean
Its so hard to find a good more natural dish cleaner. I was using clean people and I loved them. However, they use plastic for their pods and dont have a powder only option. I got tired of buying them and cutting the plastic off. They say the plastic melts and is safe but it clogs my dish washer. Also I dont want harsh chemicals on my kids cups and things. This brand doesnt leave a film and is a really good product. I think it cleans my dishes well and the price is agreeable. Is it more money than powders at the store, yes but is it worth my piece of mind and knowing we are safe for using a more natural product, yes. I love this tin BTW! Its just a little hard to open, but I have small children so that's fine. I keep it locked away anyways. I want to buy the soap butter dish as well and switch my liquid soap too. I will be buying as long as they are selling. Great products!

Works Really Well in Hard Water — Clean Dishes Without the Film
I bought this because our tap water is pretty hard, and most dishwasher pods either leave a cloudy film or don’t dissolve properly. After using Nellie’s for a couple of weeks, I’m honestly impressed. One small scoop is enough, and it actually dissolves fully, even on the quick wash cycle. The biggest difference for me has been the glassware. With other detergents, I’d usually get those annoying white spots or streaks, but this powder leaves everything clear. Plates come out clean, and cutlery looks brighter too. I still give anything with baked-on food a quick rinse first, but that’s pretty normal with hard water anyway. The powder can clump a bit if you leave the lid loose, so I keep the tin closed tight and it’s fine. The tin itself is solid and nicer than the plastic tubs most detergents come in. Overall, for hard water, this has been one of the best detergents I’ve tried. Simple, unscented, and it actually does the job.

Reliable Dishwasher Powder With Great Value
I have used this dishwasher powder in both a portable dishwasher and now a built-in one, and it has performed well in each situation. When I was using a portable dishwasher, it worked perfectly every time and always provided great value. I never had issues with residue and everything came out clean. After moving into a home with a standard dishwasher, I tried pods, liquid detergents, and Nellie's cubes, but I kept running into unclean dishes or leftover film. I switched back to this powder because it had been the most reliable for me. In my current dishwasher, I do see some residue at times, but running a sanitize rinse removes it completely. Once that cycle is used, dishes come out clean and glassware looks clear. The plant-based and fragrance-free formula is a nice plus, although it is not a major factor for me. This container lasts a long time. When I was running my dishwasher between one and three times per day, a single tub still lasted more than four months, which makes it excellent value for the price. I would recommend this powder to anyone who wants a dependable and cost-effective detergent, especially if they are using a portable dishwasher or have struggled with pods or liquids leaving residue. Pros: - Excellent performance with portable dishwashers - Works consistently in both portable and built-in dishwashers - Cleans well when used with a sanitize rinse - Long-lasting container with great value - Plant-based and fragrance-free Cons: - Occasional residue unless sanitize rinse is used

Changed review - doesn't work at all
Final review: Definitely made a mistake. Dishes NOT clean at all. There were streaks still and glasses all foggy and I could feel stuff on the plates. Thought maybe I didn't put in enough product and tried again with an extra rinse this time. Made no difference. Through in some regular detergent the 3rd wash and dishes finally clean. So VERY disappointed in the product. Too heavy to bother returning. Have been scouping it into dirty frying pans as an initial soak - not doing much good there either. Hard to get a good picture of something shiny but here they are, first after 3 washes with Nellie's and 2nd - 1 wash with other stuff. First Review: There is no scent as such, but it has a very mild smell (soda-like). Unlike others, there were a few things it didn't clean that well in the dishwasher, but I'm not sure if it's the soap or my dishwasher. I like it way better than the dishwasher soap I used that when you opened the door this horrid smell came out, so I'm happy with it. I'll see how it keeps doing in subsequent washes.
