Great harmonies, clumsy design!
Great little pedal for adding a bunch of selectable harmonies to a single note. I play the sax, so having the freedom of selecting the key you're in is great. It does an amazing job of harmonizing. The down side is that it's on the floor. This means to change keys you'll be bending down on a dark stage with a sax (maybe a guitar) hanging off your neck. I tried setting it on a stool where I could more easily reach the knobs, but then there was the problem of cancelling it with my footI've taken to setting it to the key of some song at the beginning of a set and using it then. Between sets I change the key if I need to, but between songs there's just no graceful way to get at itI like the pedal simply for the harmonies and won't return it. I haven't found any use for the s-bend or other affects, but that's not saying you won't. It's probably a guitar thing.Just be forewarned, it's execution is favorable but the design really fails.UPDATE: I found a piece of plastic tuning that fit snuggly over the "key selection knob" and cut off a piece that brought the ability to turn the knob and change the key up to where I can change the key without bending over. I leave the harmony knob on a third.

This pedal is awesome!
I believe that a guitarist should have a couple of essential pedals: a distortion, delay, and a “wild” pedal (but the actual number of pedals you can have is endless).. The harmonist counts as the “wild” pedal. All of the functions are useful, but may take a little while to get the sound you are after. When you turn the settings up, it gets nuts, especially when you use a couple of the special settings, you can make your guitar sound like a different instrument. I had an actual Whammy pedal, but I could not deal with its large footprint on my pedal boards. The boss fits well. Very good pedal. I am completely satisfied with this pedal.

Not just for the s-bend effect
Just for context, I'm playing on humbuckers, into a Orange combo amp.To be honest, I pretty much bought this pedal for the s-bend effect, and I've been pleasantly surprised to find that that part of it is what I tend to use the least, as the rest of the effects offered are actually quite musical (maybe besides the chorus or "detuned" effect which is just meh). The pitch shifter effect is actually incredible sounding, and with the ability to choose up to three voices, allows for some really cool stuff to happen to any simple riff you may have. It's nice when you go from three voices above to three voices below, and realize that what you are playing can practically act as two entirely different sounding songs. That being said, the s-best feature is crazy awesome, and definitely worth the price on its own. Yes, it can produce some funny stuff, but when you've dialed in a nice pitch shift with some overdrive going, it's like nothing else.

Amazing pedal
Harmonies are crisp and accurate. The detuner in stereo sounds amazing. VanHalen 5150 sounds. Super easy to use and built like a tank.

The unknown secret
You buy the pedal try to use it stereo. Pedal first then effects. Set the knob on detune then 12 on the first knob on the left then 1 on the next knob to the right. You get the coolest 90s 2000s vanhalen sound. Spot on

Very good product!!
This is a very good product, I would hightly recomend This product to any mucisian from an entry level up to a profesional artist, the key Of this product lies on where you use it within your fxs chain, since this is a time bases effect it should go on the fxs loop Of your amp (if your amp has one) right before the delay and reverb, ir if you have no fxs loop And your using a clean amp it should go after your distorsion pedals beca use it works better after the overdriven signal.Regarding the product it self, the sound quality (again it depents on where you place it on the chain) it's very good, it has a great tone, tracking its very accurate and it almost sounds like another guitar in the harmony mode, I play metalcore And alternative most Of the time And it suits just fine for what I do, the sbend mode it's fantastic for divebombs (my main aplication) And the detune option it's fine for a chourus effect that I use from time to time, the pitch shifter I dont use it at all but it's just fine.Very important always keep tuned your guitar And play accuratly within the key you are in, so the device can perform as good as it does. The reason I give 4 Of 5 it's because boss should include an indication Of the best usage scenarios with different amps ,loops and effects chains, because at the begining when I conected in front Of the amp it sounded crappy And I bet it happens to a lot Of people That end up returning the product without knowing that there's an fxs placement order that needs to be followed with certain logic built on it.To conclude I would definitely buy This product again!!
