Warmth for the Whole Room
The Comfort Zone Oscillating Portable Space Heaters (purchased two) have worked out great in our large TV/entertainment room - very quiet & a single heater warms the room quickly on chilly days. This past Winter during the 'Polar Vortex' invasion we needed both of the heaters on opposite ends of the room. Note: This is a RADIANT heater, NO fan so it takes a while, maybe 45-60 minutes to take the chill off in the mornings; however, after the initial warming, it keeps the room very comfortable and shuts off periodically during the day. The description indicates the the heater has a 'tilt' function - as far as we've been able to determine IT DOES NOT TILT NOR DOES IT HAVE ANY MECHANISM (nor instructions) TO INDICATE A TILT FUNCTION. However, this has not been a concern and tbh I don't really see a need to have a tilt function!?! Would we buy again? Definitely!! It heats rapidly and with no fan it's ideal while watching TV and/or gaming.

Very nice
Heats up quickly. Bought this to use in the surgery/recovery room at the animal shelter I volunteer at. Keeps critters warm while they are waking up. Small size is great. Ordered a 2nd one so we can use in separate spaces.

Good value
I'm really impressed with this item! From the moment I unboxed it, I could tell it was well-made and designed with the user in mind. Setup was straightforward and quick, which is always a huge plus. In terms of performance, it has consistently exceeded my expectations. It does exactly what it's supposed to do, and it does it reliably and efficiently. I've been using it regularly for a while now, and it still feels as good as new. What I particularly appreciate is its ease of use. The features are intuitive, and I didn't need to consult a manual to figure things out. It truly makes my life easier. Overall, this has been an excellent purchase, and I genuinely feel it offers great value for the price. If you're looking for a dependable and high-quality item that delivers on its promises, you won't be disappointed with this one.

Nice idea for a heater
I have used an Optimus Infrared heater Optimus H-5210 Infrared Quartz Radiant Heater in the past, and was very happy with it until it died right after its 3 year warranty ran out. This infrared heater is very similar in output, but the oscillation is a nice touch. People tend to claim that infrared heaters don't heat the room. That is simply untrue. It might not be as obvious, but I've used a thermometer to measure and it does heat fairly quickly, and without drying the air as much as a force air heater, and definitely a lot quieter. Unfortunately the oscillation is not implemented all that well. The oscillation sometimes seems to get caught and the heater stutters as it rotates. The base is not fixed in relation to the heater, so you can't use the base as a reference to where the heater will actually be pointing while it's oscillating. This is because the base turns very easily separately from the heater, so if you ever move the heater you might have to re-position it once you know where the heater will actually be pointing during oscillation. Also the switch design is not ideal. Instead of having one switch for high/low, and one switch for oscillate on/off, they have one switch for all. So for example if you wanted to go from High oscillate to Low oscillate, you have to rotate from high oscillate, then to high, then to off, then to low, then finally to low oscillate. All while the heater is turning, which I try to do quickly so I don't damage the motor. I'm sure it's a money saving move, but it's annoying. I think this same heater with a few minor cosmetic changes might be the same; Soleus Air HR3-08-21, Oscillating Reflective Heater, Black . I can't guarantee they are the same, but for 25% less, it might be worth a shot. The Comfort Zone heater is made my Howard Berger. Lastly I wish this unit had a longer warranty. Even though my Optimus lasted past its warranty, it was still nice to have 3 years on it.

Flat panel halogen heater
The halogen heater has a top mounted control panel. Settings include; Swing high (Oscillation 70 degrees; turns left and right with high heat), Swing low (Turns while on a low setting), off, low, and high. There is a power indicator light, which when in use, turns on. There are no digital displays. The glow of the light is seemingly subtle during the day (Not at all as bright as the image displayed, which is good), however I found it to be brighter than I would have liked when in use during the night. As an example; at night, you could read a book and not need any other lighting while the heater is on. Once the heater has been taken out of its box, the base of the product does require assembly. The assembly is basic. Two wing nuts will be used to tighten the base to the heater. No tools are necessary. Seconds after turning it on, the high setting: 800 watts can be felt (If it is positioned near and facing your direction). The same applies to when in use on a low setting, though the heat is not as strong. It operates quietly, and the structure/ surface remains cool while heating, however if it is in use for several hours, the structure will get warm, but it remains manageable to touch. I often use the indent in the back (the handle)to carry this product from one place to another. As a result of residual lubrication, there may be a brief initial odor (Only once, after you've received it, then plugged it in for a try). This is normal for new heaters. Within a minute, give or take, it is no longer an issue. It is a well-proportioned product; 12 x 6.3 x 23 inches. I don't believe this product is intended to heat a room, though I have noticed it does help maintain the room's temperature a bit, but then again, I have one of those open floor plans downstairs. I have yet to try it in an inclosed environment (like a small bedroom or bathroom). I will update this post when I do give it a go. It is very much like a personal heater. I often place it in front of the couch (roughly about two feet away, and can feel the heat very well. I have left it on for several hours at a time, and have had no problems with it. The overall quality is as I had hoped. Lee-

Mediocre heater
I purchased this heater to use in the living room. Don't expect this unit to heat any room, even a small one. It is more for use in close proximity as it does not really radiate any heat. PROS: Love the oscillating function. Dial is easy to reach on the top and has high and low functions with oscillation as an option for each. My friend says he likes the fact that you can put your hands or feet (with socks!) close to the unit without burning yourself from high output...that said some might find that a con since it is obviously not putting out that much heat. I also like the fact that it has a trip switch on the bottom so if the unit tips or is lifted it immediately shuts off. CONS: Like I said, the heat output isn't that substantial. But if you want to set it by the couch or on a table by your bed, it will keep you toasty as long as you are 1-3 feet max away from it (more like 1-2 feet). Bottom line: if you're looking for a heater to OUTPUT heat or even heat a little space, I'd recommend going with a ceramic heater that blows out hot air (I also have one of these and it fills my bathroom with warm air and keeps it that way.) The Comfort Zone CZHTV9 doesn't really warm a room, but it will keep your toasty if you're close to it...it's a mediocre heater, and you can probably find a better heater for the money. (I'd suggest one of those box radiant heaters with the metal grill on the front. A friend had one and it worked fantastic at heating a space...should've stuck with that kind myself!)

Works great.
Radiant heat is so much better than those heaters with fans that blow hot air everywhere. This also oscillates to deliver heat everywhere. 800 watts and the guide advises you not to use an extension cord, but you can use one if you get one of those heavy duty appliance extension cords. Works great.

SAFE and effective.
These are silent and most importantly are safe because they do not draw 1500wats which will MELT your resceptical. I melted more than one by using other 1500 watt heaters. DON'T

Best in market
Writing this review after one week of use. Quit heater. Provides perfect heating without any loud fan noise. cable is also long enough and good quality. Both heat mode(low & high) also have oscillation mode which is good for circulation of heat in all directions. Best part is the heat feels more natural than those forced dry air heaters.

It's small but effective
SO the reasons I like this are: It turns with no noise at all, its small and effective for a small room no good for large room as I tried it, The two heat settings are 400w and 800w so economical, there is no noisy fan as it does not need one. It does not have a thermostat, but as its more of a personal heater than a room heater it does not really need one. I hope it lasts, only time will tell.

z We bought this as personal space heater but we found out it gives far more heat than we thought it would, so we keep it a bit far and let it oscillate. In addition, we use only one tube while leaving the central heater on lower. Since it spends little electricity it has lightened our bills. We have it since 2 years and it still functions as new. z

Has to be 3 feet from anything that would burn!
A backup if the power fails! My generator will run it!
