The quality of this picture frame is far superior to the Nixplay frames we have. The functions are great (comparable to Nixplay ) and their online support is excellent. We purchased the 19” so its size is top of the market. Great value for the price. We loaded our wedding pictures on the local 64g device and tested uploading files from our iPhone which worked great (just as a test).

The Aluratek 17.3" photo frame is designed with built-in WiFi, a feature that many will use, except for myself. However, using just the USB input with a 32GB USB stick with about 11,000 photos of various sizes and origin (scanned, iPhone, and Lumix or Nikon digital cameras) works just fine.However, I nearly would deduct at least 1/2 star, because of the 'spotty' instruction manual, which devoted to setting up a smart phone to pair with the digital frame, but leaves out all other information as to how to get a simple USB stick to function. The menus are not self-explanatory, so I had to fiddle with them at length, while still wondering how to have the device recognize the USB stick. Then it dawned on me to simply think of it as a computer; power it up and insert the USB. Voila! The photos were there! After nearly 40 minutes of puttying around, it finally was operational.A hidden and unmentioned feature: Because it has a touch screen, one can swipe backward and forward on screen to review the photos that have been shown. To pause a photo, simply touch it on the screen. These features should be documented in the instructions. A small criticism.All in all, the screen itself is very high quality with bright and sharp reproduction of all photos from those aforementioned sources. And if a photo does not fit the screen, there is an opaque vignette on the sides that compliment the photo being viewed. That is a very nice touch by the hardware programmers. I am very pleased with this purchase. Recommended for serious digital photo viewing in a variety of random transitions from one to the next randomized photo. Really nice!

I was real happy with the unit for 3 days. The pictures were very clear, and the ability to load the machine using FTP made it easy to setup. However, on the third day, I got CloudPhotoFrame isn't working. This error message kept me from doing the system reset, as recommended by Aluratek Tech support. It took close to an hour to get anyone on the phone. I never got a response on the website. They recommend returning it to Amazon. Amazon support was great. Keron worked with me, including trying to reach Aluratek support/customer support again. I was able to remove the pictures, using the USB connection, but could not clear the wireless network, or the email. Amazon was not able to replace the unit, as Aluratek is no longer selling the unit through Amazon. After a great start, I was very disappointed.

It's only that I have good computer experience that I found this easy to set up. The instructions are vague when it comes up to using the USB-C connector. They could use some improvement on each of the functions and what they do. "What happens if I change this?" I did not use the FTP function, which if it works, will be nice to add future photos. It took well over two hours to load 6000 photos via USB. Midway through this the connection stopped working. I had two other brand's frames where the USB didn't work and that sinking feeling hit again. However, this time the cable connection broke off right at the junction. Replaced the cable and back to the slow, slow transfer. Cheap cable and very short! The quality of the display is good. The instructions don't suffer from the "Google translate" syndrome. A flash drive connection would be a vast improvement as the smaller models have both a flash drive port and a SD card slot.

I read a lot of negative reviews on the app and difficulties in loading photos and really don't understand their gripe. I powered up the frame, downloaded the app and with instructions in hand, set the thing up and was sending photos with a few minutes. I also had seen negative comments of how slow the transfers of photos and can honestly say mine loaded lightning fast in seconds only for the 9-photo limit. The touch screen feature is very functional and simple to use. Great feature!! The only thing I noticed, I shoot RAW photos and am somewhat a semi-Pro photographer. The images I sent to the frame ware quite sharp and when viewing on the frame are a bit pixilated. Viewing though from across the room, the images are more than adequate. Love the new frame and will look to purchasing more in the very near future.

If you're looking for a large display with super-simple setup this is GREAT.It looks like a giant tablet but has a simpler OS.- doesn't require an app, wifi or sign-in; can run from a usb flash drive- plays and loops automatically without setup- can copy the usb images or video to local storageI'm using it with a video presentation loop on a trade show table.* Note that- it's designed to hang on a wall, no stand- it doesn't run on batteries, turns on when plugged in- it has a sleep button on the back

For a few years now, we've had an older digital picture display that finally kicked the bucket. My family insisted I replace it immediately as we don't sit down and look through old photo albums as a family anymore, so the digital picture display keeps us in touch with our past and heritage.One thing they insisted I get this time around is a version that can go backward - many times we want to study a picture longer but the automatic rotation switches to the next photo before we are done. Since this is a touch screen, a quick swipe and we can go back and study the prior photo (or even several photos back!) as long as we want.I'm so glad we got the larger 17.3 inch this time as we can really see the details in the photos.Worth every penny.

For slideshows, it will not sort images in numbered order. Frustrating. One of the simplest, most important needed features.

We already had one of these digital photo frames and liked it so much I bought one for a Christmas gift for my daughter. It is dependable and looks great, so I would recommend Aluratek to anyone.

We have 3 of these - given them away for gifts after we of course loaded them up with picturesReally like that you can send pictures through your phone and have joint accounts so others can send pictures via wifiDislike - could turn some people off -After loading the pictures and assorting them on the photo frame they will randomly show up upside down - no rhyme or reason it just does itAlso the photo frame will repeat several of the same picture several times before seeing othersWe have tried different settings - still does itNot sure if its a product issue as we have three (3)) of the same brand

I tried connecting with my phone and it was not working.I did a factory reset on it and wifi function was disabled permanently.When i called their customer service they said factory reset is just for tech guys not fr customers and they cannot fix that either and wifi function is gone foreever.I m returing this, i bought it just bcz of the wifi feature so i dont have connect it with a laptop again n again.Make sure if u buy, dont ever do a factory reset no matter what the problm is.
