Edit:After more time has passed, I'm increasing my rating. this thing is a solid camera option at a reasonable price. I adjusted some settings and the motion detection seems to be working well now. We have a lot of wildlife, including deer, that are on the property every night. It's yet to trigger for animals or cars, so seems like the humanoid detection works well. It has triggered for a hanging planter I have near the camera when it gets windy and the planter swings into the area. In fairness, it is a round planter that could resemble a head shape, so no really complaint there. I could just move the planter but it's rare that it triggers from it. The wind has to really be strong.**** Original belowI've only had the camera up for a couple of days. Will modify the review if any changes are noted over time.The camera came well packaged and with nice installation guide stickers that were very helpful making it much easier to install. Set up was fairly easy although I had some trouble getting the camera to read the QR code on my Galaxy ZFold 3 with the screen open. I had to close the large display and it read it nearly instantly from the small display. Setting it up took a little longer than actually hanging the camera and the solar panel. The power and reset buttons near the micro SD card slot are marked as to what they are, but hard to see which is which. I had to refer the the picture on the user manual as I just couldn't make out the tiny white on white markings. If you have good vision, maybe that won't be an issue.The picture quality is very clear, even at night without the led lights or other outside lights on. My only complaint is motion detection so far seems a bit hit or miss. It spotted me fine leaving my house, but not when I came home. I do walk toward the camera from where I park, which the manual indicates it won't pick up, but eventually I turn and I'm at an angle to the camera. It doesnt always pick up that movement, unfortunately. That's the likely pathway of whatever serial killer would be coming to my house. However, there's no other angle I could place the camera and still pick up that area.So far, no animals or cars have been picked up by the motion detector, which is a pro and a con. It's a pro because with all the creatures around me, notifications would go off all the time. It's a con because I also want to see the cute animals like hogs and coyotes (and actual cute animals) that often come around. I wish there was a setting to record motion but only notify if a "humanoid" is detected.So far, the battery has been impressive and the included solar panel seems to charge it right back up in the morning. No complaints there. I'm in a rural area, so there aren't a lot of triggers which may prolong that battery life compared to other users. That said, since it's a new device, we've been checking the live view a lot and such.It was also fairly easy to connect to my Google home environment and share the camera with others in my household. For some reason though, I had to reset my password as it kept saying my credentials were wrong. This was immediately following setting up my account and logging in fine through the CloudEdge app. Not a big deal, but caused a bit of WTF during set up.Cloud storage is very affordable for this device starting at about $2.99/mo. for the lowest plan at the time of this posting. A full year of 7 day overwriting cloud storage is only $50 if paid for a full year. You are not required to use for storage though. The camera did have a micro SD slot (supporting up to 128GB card, only).As mentioned, I do wish there were different motion detection features. I'd rate this 5 stars if I were more confident in the motion detection. I'm going to try turning the sensitivity up from the default for a while and see how that goes.

These cameras were easy to set up right out of the box. They are easy to use and for the price, I figured I would try them out.The 360 degree movement means you can use less cameras.If you want to be able to monitor your home without having an alarm system, something like this is the way to go.These have only been up for a week, but so far so good.

Sometimes the sound quality is not good. But it serves it's purpose. Not sure I would try to use it for my front door!

Easy setup. Picture quality is much better than expected. Documentation could be better explaining the features.UPDATE: 3 days laterAfter using the Q1 for a few days, it is AWESOME. I have 12 Wyze and 1 Reolink at my house, the Q1 blows them away for quality, features, and price as well I installed this on a commercial building as I wanted a large camera as a deterrent. This camera looks professional and not like a toy mounted on the building. As mentioned earlier, documentation is lacking, even online, but the app is easy to figure out. I like the Q1 so well, I ordered the K2 yesterday for the back of the building. The antennas to receive wifi is really a plus compared to my other brand of cameras. The Anron is mounted on a concrete building with a metal roof, is receiving a 72% signal. Other cameras were not stable enough in that location to use without dropping the signal. The night vision is better than any camera I own and a must for a commercial building that is vacant at night. Faces are crystal clear...a must for the Police to be able to press charges. This camera will blow any of the brand name cameras out of the water for price and quality.Elimination of vehicles for notification is a must for a commercial building, but they are still on the SD card to enlarge and get a license plate number if a person gets out of the vehicle. My other cameras, vehicle elimination is so bad, people getting out of the car are not even seen.

The cameras and solar panels were very easy to mount where I needed them. Setting up the cameras on my tablet and phone were really easy. The cameras came with several features that I didn't expect. You can rotate the cameras up, down and sideways further than you would think. There is a speaker which allows you to converse with someone on camera. You can pre-set for alarms or there is a panic button mode. I can't say enough good things about these cameras. Better than expected!

After 9 months of flawless operation, the camera would not recharge via the solar panel. I contacted Anran customer support, and they were very proactive in troubleshooting the issue — was the issue the battery or solar panel? After providing a log of battery charging levels over a couple weeks, it was determined that the solar panel was to blame. Anran immediately offered to send me a replacement solar panel to resolve the issue. I was impressed with the responsiveness and thoroughness of the Anran support team.

This camera has some outstanding reviews and I’d wager that most are well deserved. I tried 11 times to connect to my wifi with no success. The internet provider is spectrum and their modem/router work in the 2.4 and 5 range. The instructions included in the box are almost unnecessary given how well it walks you step by step after you download their app. Everything worked awesome and when it got to the point of connecting it always failed. Reset everything turned on and off all to no avail. Unfortunately I had to send it back. This may have been one that for whatever reason just would not communicate with the wifi. I had very high hopes for it.

This Camera is the best, when I leave home and have to leave my husband alone,I came feel confident that if anyone comes to the door I will get an alert,I can talk/ hear the person, and I am usually 20 miles away if my husband is not with me, What a great feeling and I don't have to alert my neighbor as much

Fortement déçu.Les panneaux solaires ne charge pas suffisamment, pourtant exposition sud 9 h d'ensoleillement.De ce fait la batterie ce vide et je dois prendre une échelle pour retirer les caméras et les faire charger sur prise.Très déçu

Dies ist meine 3. Anran 5MP Solar-Kamera. Einfache Einrichtung, an sich gute Funktionalität*. Während der Einrichtung muss man ein wenig ausprobieren, insbesondere die Alarmeinstellung (Sensor-Sensibilität, Alarmbereich) sollte individuell angepasst werden. Wenn diese an die jeweiligen Gegebenheiten angepasst wird (lokale Katzen- und Vögelvorkommen, spielende Kinder, etc.), werden Fehlalarme stark reduziert und man erhält nur noch tatsächliche Alarme am Tag und in der Nacht.Achtung: funktioniert nur mit einer 2,4Ghz Verbindung, nicht mit 5Ghz.Verarbeitung ist "gut" und das Material ist Kunststoff. Daher weiß ich nicht, wie sich insbesondere der Standfuß der Solarzellen verhalten wird im Laufe der Jahre. Das Bild kann entweder als SD oder mit 5MP eingestellt werden. Das 5MP-Bild ist sehr gut und verbraucht nicht viel mehr Strom.Super wäre einen automatische Objektverfolgung - Allerdings wäre der Preis dann wohl höher (aber gerechtfertigt).* Über Alexa hat man nur die Bildansicht, wahlweise single view oder multiple view. Es ist keine Einstellung möglich (Nutzung der 360° Ansicht, Einstellung eines neuen Blickwinkels) und die App (Alexa-Routine) bleibt nicht dauerhaft an. Nach einigen Minuten kehrt Alexa in den eigenen Modus zurück - sehr schade, kann aber die Kamera nichts dafür.Entsprechend lautet meine Empfehlung ganz klar: kaufen! Preis/Leistung stimmt definitiv.

My first one i returned because it stopped linking on wifi. The 2nd is great on wifi but doesn't seem to be charging the battery correctly when on either solar or usb. Time will tell if this one will be returned too.After feedback from the seller the item was refunded in full. Very good customer service and support

This camera is wonderful. A very inexpensive camera that gives the option of pan tilt and zoom. It allows you to see things very clearly, has a nice loud speaker built in, and the microphone can pick up sound from a long distance away. The solar panel can pick up sunlight and recharge and hold its charge very easily. It’s easy to mount. The set up of the camera is relatively simple. it will sound a siren when a trespasser enters a protected zone and will notify you on your phone. This camera really packs a lot of bang for buck.
