Will this fit the franke Nobel 416 which was produced in the mid nineties and made from much better quality steel

Diameter 84mm. For Franke Sink check the code on the existing plug and on the amazon picture. this fitted perfectly

Not aware of the number you quoted. However, I purchased to replace an existing. Look at the old one and check the bottom. If it has the number 008445 this is what you will get when you order. It is a standard size and will fit your sink. We have 2x sink franke strainers. One is old and the other is new and ordered through Amazon. Both have the same number on the underneath.

This looks spot on but we have two of these of different diameters - what is the diameter of this one in metric please?
