I mean I bought some foam and felt stuff that was about the same.
I used this in a server cab build to quiet down a 1u server. Noise levels are about the same pre and post install. It may just be the ports I had to make for the fans, but figure it would at least absorb some of it.

Tears very easily.
Tried to wrap pipes with this for sound suppression but it rips like paper making it very difficult to install. I bought some MLV from another vendor and it worked great. I need an additional small amount so got this. Not sure about the sound absorption.
