DESOBRY Mini DVD Player for TV with HDMI, Region Free, 1080P Upscaling

Great little DVD player! This is compact, easy to set up, and works great with my TV. The HDMI connection gives a nice clear picture, and I really like that it’s region free and supports both PAL and NTSC. The resume feature is convenient because it picks up where you left off. The remote is simple to use, and the USB/TF card options are a nice bonus.Overall, a great little player for the price!

I really like how small and compact this DVD player is. It doesn’t take up much space and was very easy to connect to the TV with HDMI. The picture looks good, the remote is easy to use, and I love that it also has USB and TF card options. It’s perfect for watching my old DVD collection without needing a big player taking up space. Simple, practical, and does exactly what I needed.

We’re sick of paying to rent old movies on streaming services! We went back to borrowing DVDs from the local library. But our old DVD player wouldn’t connect to our newer TV. This player is very small and very easy to set up. It just plugs right into the extra HDMI ports on the TV and also to our sound bar, with no issues. Good quality, easy to use. (Better than I expected for the price!) We could definitely unplug and take it with us on trips.

Its a great size. Easy to use. The USB it came with is junk though. Does not work. So ill have to use one USB and swap it between the dvd player and kodi box. It did come with the AV option but volume is lower then it was on USB and the picture quality is fuzzy. Took me back to those huge box tvs that sat on the floor. Overall its good. Allows my son to watch his new bluey movies since we had to cut back on apps and dropped Disney. I chose this one because there's nothing worse then needing a remote to use a dvd player and then having dead batteries or missing/broken remote. I wanted a dvd player that could be played manually and would play dvd, blue ray and cds as well as our photo cds and this provided everything i wanted.

First off I agree with many of the positive reviews regarding this DVD player. It is portable, light, and very easy to set up. Multi-functional support for the various DVD and CD formats was a big selling point. Being able to move the DVD between TV's easily was something I was looking for. What caught my eye with this DVD was the multiple power sources that it supports, Wall charging, car charging and power bank charging. Although this DVD will be used primarily for my bedroom TV I wanted a DVD that would also work with my portable battery operated TV that I use frequently when wall power is not readily available like for camping. The TV has HDMI and USB ports. I primarily use these for using a Roku streaming stick (HDMI port) and power for the stick (USB port). I wanted a DVD player that I could use with this TV in a similar fashion. When researching DVD players that supported HDMI I couldn't find a player that stated that they supported a USB port for power and/or if the USB port was powerful enough to run the DVD. I then came across this DVD that could use a Power Bank for external power. This solved my issue I just use a USB C to a USB C cable (not provided) to connect the power Bank to the DVD player. The key to this setup was that this DVD uses a USB C port for connecting for power and not a 3.5 mm cord. After receiving the DVD I tested it using the power bank and it worked perfectly. My problem was solved. I then took my testing a step further by plugging the DVD power to the TV using the USB C to USB A cable (provided). The DVD worked perfectly, the power from the USB was sufficient for running the DVD. I absolutely recommend this DVD.

I was skeptical that such a small device could function as a dvd player for my huge Sony television, but it plays seamlessly and provides such a nice picture. It takes up a small amount of space on the tv stand and is easy to use.

My favorite show only comes in PAL format for the UK. It won’t play on the dvd player I already had, but it plays on this region free dvd player. It is easy to use and because of its size very portable. I’ve used it with my television and my projector. I am happy with my purchase.

I purchased this to use with a laptop and TVs. My fault, it doesn't actually claim that it works on laptops and doesn't, but be aware. No stars marked off for my stupidity. Pros: Size is great if you have little space Using HDMI cord, picture is Good. Not 4K "great" so if you are particular about this, this is not for you. If you are old school and good with something that looks like the TVs show you watched in the past (think Gilligan's Island or Buffy the Vampire Slayer) without the drop outs, but still with the slightly grainy quality, it's good and accurate to the quality of the DVD. Newer DVDs are also of appropriate quality. I accidentally turned it sideways. Kept playing, no issues. Remembers where you stopped. Easy setup for HDMI. Plays discs I have with some heavy duties scrapes on them (purchased second hand). This is the ONLY DVD player that will play those discs. That alone makes it a keeper for me. Cons: Cannot find a way to adjust the picture size properly on the dvd player. It has Normal ps, Normal LB and 16:9. How about 4:3 for those really old DVDs in CRT size? The two "NORMAL" sizes don't fix the image. My non mini DVD players will fix that. Yes, I often have to adjust the size on the TV, too, but I can't make the picture size work with 2 of 4 TVs. My non mini DVD players work with all of them. Player makes a"ticking" sound as it plays. If you have sensitive hearing, it will drive you insane. Remote is "slow". You press the button and it waits a beat before anything happens. At least mine does that. Bottom line: Good enough for average dvd play if you aren't picky about perfect pictures and don't mind or can place it where the ticking sound won't bother you. Standard small DVD players which aren't that much bigger these days are better (my non mini is only 3 inches wider and two inches deeper). That is plays DVDs with scrapes that other DVD players won't means I will keep it, but if it hadn't done that I would have returned it. It's just OK, IMO.
