What is the difference between a maintenance car wash soap and a wash and wax soap?

Maintenance shampoo cleans without adding a layer. A wash and wax soap leaves carnauba behind for gloss, while a maintenance formula focuses on lifting dirt off paint that is already protected. Run maintenance weekly, wash and wax when shine fades.

Does this car wash soap leave water beading behind?

Water beading comes from wax, sealant, or a ceramic coating, not from the shampoo itself. This formula cleans and rinses away without leaving a hydrophobic layer. For beading during the wash step, reach for a ceramic car wash soap instead.

Do you need a pressure washer to get thick foam?

Thick foam without a pressure washer is easy. A foam gun on a garden hose lays down clinging suds, and a bucket agitated with a jet nozzle builds a full head of lather. A cannon on a pressure washer only gets you to the same place faster.

Is this soap safe on matte, satin, and wrapped finishes?

Matte and satin paint call for a dedicated matte auto wash. This pH balanced shampoo is at home on clear coat, single-stage paint, glass, chrome, and plastic trim, but a matte formula leaves no gloss residue on flat finishes and wrap.

What should you use after the wash is finished?

Drying is the next step. A plush Chemical Guys microfiber drying towel pulls water off without dragging grit across paint, and a drying aid adds slickness while you work. Follow with a spray sealant whenever the finish is due for protection.
