Excellent tool addition to my arsenal
There's the right tool for every job...and if that job entails making numerous duplicates...this is not that tool. BUT! If that job demands a copy or two, or even three, and you're not a mobile locksmith decked out with everything a mobile locksmith could need...this is the tool for you.I was, admittedly, a bit sceptical after I unboxed the tool, but decided to not pass judgement until I gave it a fair shot. In short, my trial run worked in all four locksets on the very first attempt. Color me impressed.I'm certain there are many tricks to using this cutter, but the one I know will benefit you is this...some YT instructionals involve tracing the profile of your working key onto your blank to guide your cuts...skip this. Grab a pair of locking pliers, ie - ViseGrips, and clamp your working key atop your blank, lining up the bottoms and the shoulders of the two keys. The rest is straight forward and very simple. Snip, snip, snip and jackpot. If needing a key copy comes up on occasion in your regular tasks...I can confidently recommend this cutter.

Great for copying keys quickly, easily and on the go
I am not a locksmith and have never copied keys before owning this tool; I am able to make duplications by:1. Clamping the key blank over the original together in a vise or with vise grips2. Notching the key with the tool against the original key3. Marking with a sharpie and filing if necessary (as the trapezoidal shape of the cutter is narrower than some keys)After some practice I am able to copy most keys on the first try. I haven’t yet come across a standard key where this tool does not work.

They can get the job done
I wish these cutters were a bit wider to aid with cutting Kwikset keys but I understand that is not what they were designed for. They cut well enough and if you need a wider cut you can always make a second cut right next to the first. You will need a file to finish off the key as they don't seem to cut straight across.

Works well, Takes some patience and practice
Works well, but takes some practice and patience to get it right. Odds are your first few keys will either straight up not work because you're ever so slightly off in your depth of cut or alignment, but after a few attempts it only takes minor tweaking and deburring to get a good key.
