Gourmet French Macarons: Over 75 Unique Flavors, Festive Shapes

Being a rookie at making Macarons, this was a nice selection of recipes to try.

Love the book, however, there was no CD with it for the templates. That’s the reason for 3 instead of 5 stars. I found the hardback book that has the CD. The paperback should have come with one as well. Not going to order a hardback one just to get the CD now. And there’s not a way that I’ve found to contact the author or company to question.

Book is fantastic BUT the CD was missing. I was so excited to try out all these new styles ans disappointed when I was unable to do so. The recipes and tips and tricks are superb and would definitely warrant a 5 star had the cd been included.

I have to say that I was impressed with how nice this book is. It is very well made, beautful pictures, nice writing, and sturdy pages. I have several French Macaron cookbooks and this one quickly became my favorite. It has detailed explanations on necessary tools, ingredients, methods, troubleshooting, and tons of helpful tips. If you are looking for your first macaron book, then this is it. Even if you have made macarons before and are looking to step it up with creative shapes and flavors this is the book for you. It comes with a CD with templates to help create those shapes. Great cookbook! I will be getting this book as gifts for the bakers in my family for sure!

Super cute ideas cover each page, the recipe turned out awesome the first time I tried. The first recipe I tried was pumpking pie macaroons. I printed out the templates and followed the instructions. My family hasn't stopped asking me to make more macaroons since! The only issue I had was that my macaroons were stuck to the parchment paper. Awesomely, the book has a troubleshooting section and that was covered. I followed her suggestion and didn't lose a single macaroon, they all came off! This book covers everything, even telling you how to age the egg whites first. I love it!!

This is quite possibly the most beautiful cookbook I own (and I have a lot). The macarons are adorable. Mindy has come up with a lot of pretty, unique ways to shape macarons, such as balloons, frogs, diamond rings, ducks, pumpkins, and gingerbread men.There are also lots of delicious flavor variations. Because of the emphasis being on all the neat ways to make the macarons look adorably like something else, even if the recipes were a dud, you could still use her methods to make the macarons look cute. Purchase this book and you won't be disappointed.

Very cute Ideas for Macarons have not tried any of them yet but can not wait. A lot of cool photos and great ideas for many events. Macarons are really cool and I am excited to try a number of these ideas for my friends and Family.

LOVE LOVE LOVE This book! The pictures are amazing! They really get the creative juices flowing! lots of recipes for fillings, flavor combination suggestions, store bought and filling options. I never would have thought to stuff a pumpkin spice macaron with pumpkin pie filling!! Genius! OH and a CD with templates for piping all the neat shapes!!!! Well worth the price of admission whether you are a novice or more experienced baker!

Super Buch

While it is beautifully written and photographed, I was hoping for some more savoury filling ideas. I am a little disappointed.
