It works. Most people interested in this want to know this right off the bat. If you put something hot in it, it stays hot. If you put something cold in it, it stays cold. Once sealed, heat isn't able to get into or leave the container is the bottom line.It is high quality. It's made of tough, high quality steel inside and out. The only issue I have with it is the cup. The cup is NOT insulated. If you pour hot soup into it, it tends to get hot on the outside. The design could have used a handle on the cup. Or, better yet, the same vacuum insulation design in the cup as in the thermos. It's not a big deal though.It has a wide mouth. This is not a big deal if you are carrying coffee. Or maybe it is....pouring and spilling boiling hot coffee while trying to get it into a thermos could be....annoying. But I use this thermos to carry soup. Not crappy, watery broth but a real meal with big chunks of meat and vegetables in it. The mouth on this is big enough to get chunky soups into and out of it without a hassle. But it is small enough that not much heat escapes between openings. This is important. After opening it four or five times to get another serving of food, during the day, if the mouth is too big, the last couple of servings could get cold. Not a problem with this thermos.Size. This is a big thermos. How big? It holds three cans of progresso soup. A decent amount. To get an idea. That's about 600 calories worth of soup. A hundred and eighty pound guy needs about 1800 calories a day. For me, that 600 calories is exactly one meal worth of food....making this container the perfect size for me to have soup for lunch, although I tend to eat it one cup at time over several hours. I don't drink coffee but seems to me it's roughly the size of a large pot of coffee.

Tengo un termo de 1lt. pero ocupaba uno más grande.Pros: es de muy buena calidad, como siempre, mantiene mi té caliente por bastante tiempo, hago el té por las noches, y dura caliente hasta mediodía, pero no se enfría, puedo seguir tomando porque dura tibio hasta que se termina.Contra: el tapón no es como el de litro que tengo, este tira un poco algunas veces.

中もステンレスなのと、フタもシンプルな為完璧に掃除出来る！象印は多少小さくて良いが、フタが工学的に上手くデザインされてるので、解体出来ない為茶カスなど掃除が出来ません。ブラシも出来ない部分があり、結局つまようじの先で洗いましたが、それでも中まで掃除は無理！解体できない為。専用の洗剤に漬けるしか無理！それと、ポットの中がステンレスになってなく、フッ素樹脂テフロン加工されてるので氷など入れる為かその塗装がはがれて、小さな塗装カスが飲むコップに飲み物と混ざって出て来るため飲めません！その点サーモスはアメリカ製か、単純シンプルな作りで結局長持ちすると思います他社より高価だがコップになるフタも大きいしデザインも良いしこの方が得です。
