Banana Boat, Mineral Kids Sunscreen C-Spray - SPF 50, 5 Ounce

This is one of the few "legacy brand" sunscreens that get a good rating on EWG -- a 3 in this case. EWG discourages the use of sprays, but they are so convenient. When we use them, we spray into our hands and then rub on. So this a "not perfect" but best choice when you want/need to a spray bottle. I've also bought a mineral spray from a brand that is called ("color" "reptile") in a blue-green bottle. That brand is highly rated by EWG and the cost is a higher than Banana Boat but not as high as some... however, in my experience, the spray nozzle malfunctions so the product becomes useless. Banana Boat wins!

Worked really well. We have very fair skin and did not burn at all 4 days in the sun. Spray could have been better, still had to rub in. Definitely left skin a bit white, but that’s because it’s mineral sunscreen. Will buy again.

The change to the amount that sprays out compared to last year’s same product is disappointing. Way too much sunscreen comes out and is way too thick. Go back to the previous sprayer.

My favorite non toxic spray sunscreen for my kiddos! Sprays white, rubs in beautifully! Highly recommend!

I've used a lot of mineral sunscreens on my family, and this is the worst white cast I've ever experienced. It's difficult to get an even coat because it comes out thick, and sets quickly, so you have to rub it in quickly. Even when I felt like I achieved an even coat, it leaves a very white film that remains the entire day and even was an effort to wash off with soap. People were telling me to rub in my sunscreen all day (but it can't be rubbed in any more). We are fair skinned, so if you could see the white on us, I can't imagine it on a darker skinned person. The white cast remained through swimming and toweling. 2 stars because it's definitely effective sun protection! I was looking for a time saver over our usual mineral lotion, but this isn't it!

Love this stuff but would have been quicker to get from Walmart or Target. The shipping took longer than expected. Over a week.

Spray may not fine as the product is thick, other than that it's a good products
