Having had the collar for around 3 months I have got to change my review. Basically all good apart from the connection ring which is NOT stainless steel. It started to rust a month ago. Its turning my white boxers fur brown. Not good.

good quality collar just make sure buy large enough for your dog, my dog didn't like the smaller size and kept coughing and wheezing when I strained to do it up, Dog made really strange choking sounds once I got it clipped shut and passed out after a few minutes, I decided I better take it off, dog came round and seemed quite thankful that I had removed it, wife likes the colour of collar so she decided she will use it in the bedroom and fits her very nicely looks good when she has her stiletto thigh boots on, so I haven't wasted money on it, ;)I ordered a bigger one for dog.

If you go by measurements go one size bigger than stated. I bought two sizes, both smaller than expected. For example the 40-45cm size was only 42cm on maximum extension and still too tight for a dog with 40cm neck, had to be returned.The picture measures the full extended length including the buckle on one side and not the other side (maybe they included the buckle on both sides when measuring, which doesn’t work as they slot inside each other)The refund was quick and easy.

My 12 year old border collie us very demanding and fuzzy about things, especially new things. Her old necklace and lead got lost when we left her at in-laws for a couple days so we needed new ones. After reviewing carefully some reviews here we decided to go for this and we do not regret it. It's exactly just as good as it's sounds. The quality is ABSOLUTELY amazing! It's comfortable for her as well, meaning as well it won't flare any rashes on her sensitive skin. The material seems to be of great quality and even after we cleaned it, it's still the same way. Colour stayed during washing too. No weird smell. Due the fact she's a collie and very hairy, we thought just as her old necklace, that eventually it would start smelling funny etc but so far so good. We are very pleased and so is our old girl!

My 2nd purchase of this item:- Buying a dog collar sight unseen, is a potential risk. However this collar is very well made, very substantial yet soft to the dog, easily strong enough for a giant breed dog.Upon receipt and scrutinisation, of the 1st one I bought, I immediately ordered this second one for my other dog.ABSOLUTELY EXCELLENT!!
