I was dubious for two reasons - would the cooling live up to the claims, and how snag-prone would the fabric be, as I have cats…Well, I was pleasantly surprised. I am using this blanket instead of my usual top sheet and duvet as it’s too hot for even the 4.5 tog ‘summer’ duvet. The blanket has a nice weight to it - not too light and not too heavy. It moulds well around a body so that the fabric is in contact with skin and so cools it.The cooling effect is definitely there. It is cooler than a sheet alone. And the best bit is that as you move, you contact other cooling areas and so the feeling of cooling never stops. No urge to hang a leg out from under the duvet with this - just move a leg and aaaah a slight but perceptible chill.I struggle to sleep in 21°C warmth in the bedroom but with this I’ve slept fine all night in 23-24° heat - unheard of for me.On to the material and snagging - again a very pleasant surprise! The material feels similar to silk, and I was expecting it to rapidly develop snags and pulls from cat claws when they jump on the bed. To my surprise, there are no snags at all, and it’s been on the bed for several days. I can’t believe it’s stood up so robustly given how it feels to the touch. It also appears to not collect any fur, due to its silky texture I suspect.So, it’s a win/win. Yes it’s pricy but has already paid for itself by me not needing to run a portable air conditioner all night with just a sheet over me. It’s reversible with both sides cooling, which will extend the time between washes. I’ve no doubt it’ll wash fine in my 9kg machine. This blanket has to be one of the best buys I’ve made in a while!Update: still no regrets. I’ve washed it (9kg capacity washer) following instructions - 30° delicate hang to dry - and it has come out perfect. There are a few pulls now from the cat’s claws (he needed a trim) but it has resisted a heck of a lot of those claws - he seems to enjoy the cooling too and brings toys here to play with them.I spent last night under my ‘summer’ duvet while the cooling blanket finished drying (it was quick to dry but I wanted to compare with the duvet) and I have to say the duvet is coming off and the cooling blanket going back on today. It did dry quick enough that I could wash first thing, dry and get back on the bed by bedtime.

I am absolutely inlove with this blanket. I am chronically ill and so get frequent fevers and also don't do well in the heat. This blanket has really helped keep me cooler. Its soft and silky to touch. It's huge, fits my whole double bed. It really help keep me cool. Only negative is it 'clicks' really easily. Since I have a cat it is full of clicks where the thread has pulled from her claws. It has also gone a little bit bobbly in the sections where my arms are (I'm bedbound so use it all the time)

Sometimes if temperature rises the duvet, even though a summer one, is too hot. This cover helps to cool me down if I use it instead. Not had it long so can’t comment on durability or how it washes. Came rolled up in a cardboard box. Would recommend.

Great for the heatwave, it got me too cold and I ended up replacing with warmer material but I'm definitely glad I purchased it

From the moment I put this item on my bed during the recent unbearable heatwave, I SLEPT! And really well too! It's been a sanity saver. And it washes beautifully if instructions are followed.

Definitely feels nice and cool, just not very attractive looking. I keep it under other sheet/blanket so I suppose it doesn't matter. Keeps me comfortable through the night.

Great for use during the hot weather spell, cool and silky. Only downside is the nylon/ poly fabric which has a tendency to snag if not treated with care. That said I was surprised that this type of material could feel so cool and comfortable against the skin.

Think this is a good item. Its comfy and is definitely cooling, but only when restless. You only feel the benefit when you roll over. However I do really love this product.
