STREAM 2 SEA Kids Mineral Sunscreen SPF 45 Reef Safe EWG Verified

I've used about 3 of these since last summer, and they worked well for my baby and me. He's now 2. I use it mostly on my face but also on my arms and on his whole body. It does take a minute to absorb. I don' t notice the white cast, but my aunt called me "paleface" the other day. One bottle arrived exploded, and that was super annoying, because I had to keep it in a plastic bag. Getting it all out of the tube into another jar would have been an impractical extra task when I had a 1 year old. That return was not possible because then we would have had to wait for a new one and had no other sunscreen. I'll keep getting this one, though I wish you got more for your money! Over time, the oil and cream separated a bit, maybe because I left it in the hot car, which you aren't supposed to do. It's not the right consistency at the moment, but I still use it. We never got burnt.

Not chalky like a lot of zinc based sunscreens. Product is pretty well mixed in the tube. It does take some rubbing to get it onto dry skin but if your skin is hydrated or moisturized it's a breeze. My skin is sorta caramel brown and it doesn't leave a white cast except when I put it on my face while I was kinda dehydrated. Even then it wasn't the traditional white cast. It just looked a bit dry and ashy. No burns. No discomfort. No loud smells. (I'm sensitive to smells!) This is the best zinc oxide based sunscreen I've ever had. And no, I did not get any type of reward, prize or incentive for leaving this review. It was really hard for me to choose a product on Amazon, so im hoping this review will help someone else. I actually ordered two sunscreens from Amazon. The other brand was more expensive, but it left a strong white cast. I'll use that one on my son on swim days and use this for us everyday. I mean it is called "Every Day Mineral Sunscreen." But yeah, I'll be stocking up on this and using them year long. The pics are of me wearing it on my arms. You can't tell which arm has the sunscreen on it. Any discoloration that you may notice is not due to the product.

I have tried a lot of different mineral sunscreens. A few I hated, a few I liked and a few I loved. This by far is my favorite. Even the ones I loved left a greasy look on my face. This doesn't. This also had the white cast fade the absolute quickest of any I have ever tried. Company has a good reputation, ingredients are awesome. Reef safe. Skin safe. Looks like this is the only one for me from here on out.

Super greasy, but effective sunscreen. I will only ever buy EWG verified sunscreens for my family. I am very pleased with how long this lasts, too, even on a high UV day.

Great ingredients, effective. It has the best rating on EWG. I mix the tinted and the white to get an even better match for my skin tone. It even smells like food – olive oil, bread dough, a little chocolate. It’s good stuff. It’s good and thick and also fairly oily, like other clean mineral sunscreens I’ve tried. Applying a more moderate amount works pretty well to mitigate the oiliness, or I will put on a heavier layer, let it soak in, and then blot up the grease. It’s been working great for me.

I found this sunscreen to be effective for sun protection, but I won’t repurchase. On the plus side, it provides good protection and is very environmentally friendly. But it has too many drawbacks for me. It is thick and pasty and a bit difficult to spread. It does leave a persistent slight white cast. And it has an off-putting smell that I dislike, although the smell dissipates quickly. The worst part about it, though, is that it leaves white mineral stains on your clothing. I really hate that. If they are bad enough, they can even persist through washings. So this is a no from me.

No greasy. Will keep purchasing for my kid.

Actually rubs in!

Great product. Needs a good rub in due to its consistency but works well and nice to wear (I have been using it as well as my little on) would recommend.
