CIARRA Curved Glass Cooker Hood 60cm 650 m³/h Chimney Hoods A+++

I was very impressed with this extractor hood. It looks very stylish on the wall with good extraction rates. Because of my specific installation requirements I had to install the unit at a much greater height above the hob then recommended but it worked just fine and I rarely have to use other than the minimum fan speed. The twin LED lamps installed in the unit are very bright despite only using 2W of power. I connected the unit to an existing outside vent so did not require a carbon filter which is not supplied with the extractor. The installation instructions were confusing at first but I eventually I made sense of them and the installation was then straightforward. After I had the unit for a few months one of the lamps blew and I was unable to source a suitable replacement. I contacted the manufacturer who responded very quickly dispatching a couple of replacements from China which were delivered by DHL within six days.

My wife is delighted both with how good this cooker hood looks now that it is installed and with how well it works. The installation instructions are a pretty rubbish translation, but any reasonably competent DIYer shouldn't have any great problem. My one piece of advice: if you are replacing an existing cooker hood, check the dimensions of the exhaust trunking (and hole in the wall) before you buy. I didn't, and had an issue that the trunking of the new hood was a larger diameter than the original. Fortunately I was able to sort it without too much difficulty and I'm impressed by how good the new hood looks. Great value, considering the price. Shortly after installation, the light bulbs failed. The response from Ciarra was immediate and impressive; New bulbs were couriered out to me and the problem resolved. Couldn't ask for more.

Having just used the larger 90cm model for one year, purchased this one too replace it due to a smaller hob, installation so this model has the same output as the 90cm curved class. The good thing I like is the extraction and ease of filter renewal for cleaning, an update on this one it has a 13amp plug fitted so can be plugged into a suitable socket, it comes with a flexible extraction hose of good length so no problem connecting to an exterior outlet, mine is 2.5 metres long and can say the flow out of the grill is excellent. So as with the last model the instructions are vague let me give some points where the instructions are poor on the intermediate support bar holding the bottom s/s cowl in place with the extraction pipe coupled you cannot fit this bar without having a small chubby screwdriver the screws are fixed from the back and very little room is available to get to this bracket which then has to be secured to the wall. Some other points need a slight redesign the this would be a winner, The plate that the assembly hangs on with the assembly metalwork needs a larger gauge still the assembly drops down very slightly because the metalwork bends. The bottom s/s cover support bracket needs a securing screws countersunk so the cover is not held off the wall by pan head screws. Like many other installers have said the top cover securing plate support needs lowering down the wall so the fixing screws can be screwed in if you have a coving around a kitchen ceiling a lowing of this top plate is a must, motor grunts slightly due to the balance of the motor. Apart from observations this extractor suits my needs purchasers need to be sure they can overcome these issues. I would still recommend this model

Loved the look of this cooker hood in our newly fitted kitchen! There was a problem with the hood, there was no difference between suction levels 1, 2 & 3 so I emailed Ciarra. The customer service was absolutely faultless! Replied within 12 hours with instructions on how to possibly remedy the problem but as this didn’t work we were offered a full refund or replacement. We asked for a replacement and it came within 3 days! The new one works as it should and we are very pleased with the product and would recommend this company and cooker hood.

The 6 " outlet pipe can cause problems as the majority of Tradesmen don't have a diamond cutter large enough. Usually carry 110mm core cutter for 4" termination vents etc. Many won't buy one just for the one job as they will probably not need it again. A part from this issue to overcome the extractor hod is great looking and good in performance. The down lights are bright and illuminate the area well. Reasonably quiet in operation. Has solved my problem of kitchen windows and door steaming up. Very good looking product with excellent performance.

Purchased this item from “good as new” options for £112 Looked ok in box no obvious defects. When fitted, a tedious process when it’s going into a fitted kitchen as all the instructions show it being fixed on a plain wall at waist height, anyway, once installed we found it was very noisy and the same noise level at all three settings and there was virtually no suction on any setting. A complete mystery as obviously the motor was working. Returned it to Amazon and am awaiting a credit. Replaced it with another make, more expensive but does work and is quieter. Think I was was just unlucky with my machine but it was very noisy that’s why I didn’t go for the same again.

First purchased in Sept 2019. This one has just broken and I have ordered another. Beware that the fan and housing are only supported on one side and as you can see from the photo the plastic has broken away from the supported side. Very disappointing as everything still works! I suppose for the price the fact it lasted 2 years is okay. I have only ordered the same one again as the tiles under the extractor are shaped for this particular hood.

For the money, you can't really fault this. Looks more expensive than it actually is. Our previous extractor had a 120mm hole, and finding anything other than 100/125/150 ducting is a bit of a nightmare. Didn't fancy using a core drill to make the hole bigger so went with a 100mm duct over a short distance and alu taped it together, seems to be working well. LED's are cool white & very bright. If you have a low ceiling, you will struggle to fit both parts of the shroud as you have to put them inside each other then pull the inner up to the ceiling and screw it to the wall bracket. I had about 2cm clearance from the top of the inner shroud to the ceiling, so there would have been no way at all to lift it up once fitted so just used the inner shroud and left the gap at the top. Included instructions are beyond useless. Ciarra have an excellent YouTube video which is well worth watching, although they do install it about half way up a blank wall which isn't really representative of people's homes! For the £90 i paid though, I'm very happy with the end result.

Ho voluto aspettare un pò prima di recensire. Pienamente soddisfatta. Cappa molto bella da vedere, ottima aspirazione sia con che senza allaccio all'esterno. Rumorosa il giusto. Ha 3 gradi di aspirazione con i quali mi trovo benissimo perchè anche se il filtro non è largo quanto il piano cottura, il vetro aiuta a trattenere i vapori fino all'aspirazione non lasciandoli oltreppassare verso i pensili. Filtro comodissimo che si lava in lavastoviglie e tutto il resto molto facile da pulire. Consigliatissima!

Eine Optisch sehr schöne Dunstabzugshaube ! Filter ein und ausbau sehr einfach und gut zu reinigen. Die Lautstärke wovon viele schreiben das es zu laut wäre finde ich jetzt nicht. Läuft nur auf Stufe 1 und saugt alles ein . Beleuchtung zum Kochfeld einfach super . Nur die Montage Anleitung könnte man ein wenig besser gestalten.

Instalada da un toque muy estético, destaco sobre todo que con el máximo nivel (3) no genera un ruido que pueda ser molesto. Muy buena adquisición .
