Crazy revenge movie
2 great leading actors. John Lithgow can play a convincing villain, Lithgow really is a Legend.Denzel is also very convincing from this to say the Equilizer.Denzel is a cop who by chance foils Lithgows robbery.Double crosses Lithgow at the hostage scene and the prison sentence leaves Lithgow plotting a relentless taste of payback,see's Washington loose a lot and rely on his old basket ball hustlers acquaintances clear his name.Pretty enjoyable for a few ££ and time to kill.

Hugely underrated and unseen film
This film is in dire need of a UK/US blu ray release - it's easily one of the most exciting and bonkers movies of the 1990s. You can't ask for much more than Denzel facing off against Lithgow, and both of them are completely unhinged here. Can't recommend this enough!

Even though I think that Denzel Washington is one of the best actors of my generation, I think that John Lithgow playing the bad guy makes this movie pretty good & actually performs better than Denzel

Little Known Early Denzel Gem.
After searching for cheap films on Amazon whilst starring top actors i came across Ricochet,a film i'd never heard of but bought it due to mainly good reviews.All i can say after watching it is that yes it is slightly dated and the picture isn't the best (any future release may clear this up though) but i sat down and watched a top class thriller of "imprisoned bad guy wanting revenge on the guy who put him there" ala Cape Fear and it does not disappoint.As a fan of Denzel Washington i pretty much own most of his films and this is right up with his best work and for the cheap price you can pick this little gem up for its well worth a look.Ricochet [DVD]

einer der besten action-thriller der 90er !
diesen film kennt kaum jemand, sollte aber jeder kennen, denn hier geht die post ab. lithgow und washington liefern sich hier ein duell, das einem die feder aus der mütze springt. wie styles (washington) im pink farbenen morgenmantel und weißen socken, mit einer monsterkanone bewaffnet, die auffahrt herunter rennt, oder mit einem spruch aufhorchen lässt :" ich ziehe meine aussage zurück, denn das ist doch die frau, von der ich den tripper habe".lithgow als blake ultrabrutal und fies, das müsst ihr euch wirklich ansehen, sowas habt ihr noch nicht gesehen. hier gibt es tabubrüche ohne ende, so ein film würde heute nicht mehr produziert werden. die präsenz von ice-T kommt noch als zuckerguss oben drauf. zusätzlich ist der film mit einem sensationellen soundtrack ausgestattet und um die theatralik einzelner szenen überhöht darzustellen, wurde die predator hintergrundmusik gewählt, die hervorragend in den film eingebettet ist. ich kannte den film bereits geschnitten auf dvd, in einer miserablen bildqualität. diese blu-ray ist uncut und lässt den film im neuen antlitz erscheinen und man erkennt jetzt auch mal, wie gut die actionszenen gemacht sind. durch die hervorragende bildqualität kann man jetzt auch szenen im detail wahrnehmen, die einem auf der dvd garnicht aufgefallen sind.einfach geil der film !der film ist völlig underrated. von mir bekommt er eine 8.0.
