10 Litre Fermentation Vessel/Bucket/Bin

Used to store bread flour. Quite sturdy in structure. Good seal on kid (but open skirt all day round or it hard to remove)

The Bigger Jugs 10 litre bucket is an ideal size if you only want to brew one or two gallons with enough room left for the 'head'. One gallon in a larger bucket means it is very difficult to get it out (rack it) when the time comes, without drawing off a substantial part of the sludge off the bottom. With this smaller bucket, this is no longer such a problem. One thing to take care with is removing the lid the first time. The edges must be folded up all the way round before removing otherwise the seal around the top of the bucket will be irrepairably damaged. Fold it up and down a few times to make it easier. Other than that, a light smear of Petroleum Jelly around the edge and in the bubbler hole, and you are good to brew! Highly recommended. I have 2 gallons of Mead happily gurgling away in mine as I write.

Not very strong plastic

This is a perfectly good fermentation bucket but the additional positive is that it includes an airlock even though this is not mentioned on the product description

Bucket fine but lid difficult to open.

Ordinary buckets kill my tadpoles, these white clean bins are made from safe material in which they thrive before becoming frogs.

My bucket arrived a day early which was nice but it was damaged. I took the time to send an email to the seller and will be receiving a new bucket in the mail.
