This "Vachetta Leather" Strap is actually split cowhide, it's not the same quality as other leathers. Split cowhide is leather, but it has to be treated heavily. Coated and given color. This strap feels more like a coated leather. It's not soft and it won't patina on its own, basically it's a low grade leather. With that said it's a nice addition to my purse, as I needed a replacement strap for my LV Palermo. The glazing is nice. It's not too shinny. It actually matches the glazing on my LV pretty good. I definitely recommend buying this if you just want a affordable alternative.

I previously discarded the shoulder straps to my Dooneys because I preferred to only use the hand straps. Now I value having the option of carrying my bags as a crossbody for security. This replacement strap is perfect!

I needed a longer crossbody strap for the Genuine Leather Shoulder- Crossbody bag from Woamyr. So many crossbody bags have a maximum drop of 21” or less which is not long enough for a plus size women to have the bag rest comfortably at my waist. This replacement strap was almost as wide as the original, and of much higher quality than other replacement straps I previously purchased from Amazon at lower cost. I highly recommend this strap if the color works for your bag. The strap is long enough to ensure at least a 24 inch drop and to fit over heavy winter coats.
