I've been using this product fairly regularly for about a year now. Fairly regularly because sometimes I forget and sometimes I just can't be bothered. It has its uses and it definitely is not a cure-all. I'm reading a lot of the low star reviews and I'm fairly certain those people have not read what this product is, the intended use, or have inflated expectations. To be fair, the instructions are pretty vague; you're supposed to sprinkle a 1/4 tsp on a portion of food, but what is a portion? Who knows. It's important to also note that the enzymes in Fodzyme will denature at temps above 140F/60C. I found that out the hard way. And it clumps when you sprinkle it on liquids like soup, which seems to make it less effective. But, it's a trial-and-error situation and it doesn't take too long to figure out the approximate dosage and proper application. So, a little background. I was diagnosed with IBS by my gastroenterologist a while back, which is their way of saying they don't know what's wrong. Through personal research and tribulation, I found it to be food related. Specifically, my digestive system can't breakdown FODMAPs. I also developed lactose intolerance at around the same time. Enter Fodzyme. Depending on the type of food and how my body is feeling that day, Fodzyme will leave me pretty comfortable after the meal. If the food has a lot of FODMAPs and lactose, think onions, garlic, tomatoes, cheese, etc., I will use twice the dosage, reapplying mid-meal. That usually works. Not all the time. Don't ask me why. I'm just glad it does most of the time. I also take a lactase supplement called Lactojoy when I eat dairy. I don't trust Fodzyme to have a sufficient amount of lactase and it's incredibly expensive to use for that purpose. This product has given me the confidence to eat a more balanced diet and is forcing me to pay attention to what I eat. Like I said, it's not foolproof and you need to figure out the dosage yourself, but it's better than avoiding all FODMAP triggers and living a sad life. Despite its minor flaws and inconveniences, I still think it's a 5-star product that improves the lives of people dealing with IBS due to FODMAP sensitivity.

This product changed my husband’s life. He has IBS - specifically, problems with mannitol, GOS, and fructans. Mannitol was easy enough for him to avoid, but avoiding fructans was very difficult and led to a very restrictive diet and a lot of weight loss to the point of being quite underweight. He didn’t experience much joy in food, and as an as a family that had previously loved to eat out and enjoy all different kinds of cuisine, that was gone from his life. And even though he was eating a very restrictive diet, he still often experienced problems. (The monash app was his guide, and they frequently re-categorized products anyways so it was constant confusion .) At first he was skeptical of this product, thinking it was perhaps a gimmick or scam, but I convinced him to give it a try. He was pretty surprised at how well it worked at first, but it wasn’t perfect and although it gave him some relief (which he considered a victory), he still wasn’t entirely sold. But over time, he got better at using it - it took some trial and error for him to figure out how best to get it to work for him. By this I mean that he learned to adjust the serving size of this powder. The serving size can be confusing, such as when when eating out at restaurants, because you’re not always sure of everything that could be in a dish or the serving sizes of the ingredients in the dish. And he is more sensitive to some foods than others, so he uses a little more for those. And for some raw fruits, this seems to work, and for others, it does not…at least for him. We’ve concluded that each person’s gut must be so unique that it varies some for different people so may take some tinkering. Having said all of that, he has been using this for about a year and a half now, and he does not leave home without it. He has an ongoing subscription to this product, and although it is expensive, we have decided it is worth it. He does not hunch over in pain anymore for hours. Our family can eat out at restaurants again. He enjoys the foods that he has always loved, although there are still about 6 to 10 foods that he knows to avoid. Essentially, he has food joy back in his life again. And as his wife, I see that it has impacted his mood in his everyday life. He’s happier and less blue. We are so thankful for this. But please, if you decide to buy this product and it doesn’t completely work at first, give it some time and try it in different ways and at different doses.

This is actually really helpful. It is really hard to eat low Fodmap; garlic is in EVERYTHING, it's super annoying. This has made going out to eat a lot easier Sprinkle some on the food, flavorless and odorless, and it 100% helps. It's expensive, but totally worth it. Don't really want to go into details beyond that, but let's just say it prevents exactly what it's designed to prevent.

I developed SIBO about 2 months ago, possibly as the result of a Covid infection (long Covid?). Experiments showed that a low FODMAP diet keeps the main issues in check (severe, almost continuous burping is the worst, but the bloating is no picnic either), but I really miss wheat in particular and so was eager to find that FODZYME promised to allow eating that again. I found it very easy to use and completely tasteless, but unfortunately using FODZYME as directed seemed to make no difference in the amount of gas being produced by those critters in my gut. But worse, after using it with ever-smaller portion sizes I started experiencing indigestion that got worse each time I tried it. By the 4th time I was throwing up and developed diarrhea that lasted 2 days (although low gut motility characteristic of SIBO undoubtedly contributed to the latter). It'd be a great thing to have on hand if it worked (nevermind the cost if it makes the difference between being able to go out to a restaurant with friends and sitting at home alone eating a very restrictive diet), but at least for me it didn't. Fortunately Amazon refunded the full purchase price with little hassle, so I'd recommend you try it if you need something like this. But I would further recommend that if you find it doesn't work and/or you don't tolerate it after the 2nd or 3rd dose that you not press your luck!

Since Covid, I have developed food intolerances and allergies to things that never bothered me before. I also have a genetic hiatal hernia, which causes reflux plus, I'm taking a GLP-1 for weight loss which slows my digestion. All those things combined make for a difficult time digesting most food. This product is very easy to carry in my shoulder-bag, for use on-the-go, or at home. The packettes are EZ to open and the product dissolves quickly into food, without any taste. It really does help with digestion, esp. for vegetables such as broccoli.

These are little miracle workers. They help my gluten free daughter is food is cross contaminated. I have a garlic and onion allergy and garlic is in everything from ketchup to tomato sauce. These packets lessen the allergy affects and are our best friends. There is no taste so you can drink with water or sprinkle on your good.

Works well. Can enjoy a diet with more variety.

After being on the fodmap diet for almost 2 years I was hoping this would help with my digestive issues. However, I didn't notice much difference with or without these enzymes. I loved the concept and was disappointed that the effects weren't very noticeable. I keep trying it hoping that the results will be different and better.... yet no real change in my digestion. My hopes are that they work better for others than they did with me.

Opens up a whole new world of flavours! It's so liberating to suddenly think, "Oh, I CAN eat that!", going around the supermarket or eating out becomes so much easier. Fantastic product that really helps, particularly when travelling because I don't have to explain "my body can't digest onion, garlic, gluten..."

This helps so much with my kid very happy with this product.

Excellent for fructans and GOS intolerance. No I can enjoy pizza and so many other things when out with friends, and I don’t need to ask my family to alter their cooking.
