Excellent food for our 5 year old Labradoodle female dog. We rescued this 29 pound, five year old female dog from the shelter 4 months ago and they recommended this particular dog food for her. As we had been using the Purina Pro adult senior dog food with glucosamine and other elderly extra large dog food for our 215 pound Newfoundland female on our farm we were very comfortable with using this food the Shelter was using on this little dog. She has responded very well and she has minimal stools and no issues of any kind. Just had her third checkup at the vet and she is in excellent health. She loves this food and we use the matching soft can food by Purina of the same ingredients and put some on top of the dry food because that is what the shelter was doing. Highly recommend the Purina Pro System of dog food, also used on our full size Labrador who passed away due to age.

Picky eater approved!
Our little dog is 10 years old and is very "set" in his ways. We needed, however, to make a switch in his diet going from wet food to dry food. We tried other brands, but they were either too hard or the pieces were too large. Then others were just not appealing, and he would simply sniff them and walk away, as if to say, "You've got to be kidding!" The pieces in this Purina Pro Plan High Protein Small Breed Dog Food, Chicken & Rice Formula have a good texture and appearance, are easy for our little guy to chew (even though he is missing one back tooth) and it has not upset his stomach or given him any intestinal distress (diarrhea). It is worth the cost and is a good value for the money due to the wholesome ingredients. We are very pleased with this product!

More helpful than script for dogs upset stomach
My pug has been on borrowed time. Soft tissue expanded into throat causing blockage with exploratory surgery that has helped. Problem is she can't have hard food. Sciencediet canned food she lost appetite for, moved to home made chicken and rice also lost appetite for, to little ceser ( which led to diarrhea). She now happily eats this. I place the 1 cup of food in water let soak up over night and its absorption makes it soft. She happily is having solid BM no trouble eating and at 13 shes doing well.

Quality dog food
I feed my dachshund a fourth cup twice a day and she's nice and trim. She's been on Purina pro for 3 years. My veterinarian recommended it.

Yay! Small kibbles...
This is one of the brands recommended by my Vet. I bought this variety because my 55 lb dog will not eat larger kibbles. I transitioned him to it gradually and he has been eating it happily now for a several years.
