These are great electrolytes, very well balanced with a nice diversity of electrolytes and vitamins. I've used them for several years, mostly for competitive tennis. The one-star review is for the recent (?) packaging change from a relatively easily opened, rectangular packet to this tubular format. The tubular format has a notched edge, like the rectangular ones, but it only goes half-way across the pack before it hits the fold and stops. This leaves an opening that is too small to allow the power to pour out. If you force the issue and try and tear across the fold, the entire pack tears open, spilling dry, sticky powder over your hands. If your hands are moist (maybe you've been working out or competing???? ya think?), you're left with a mess. Kinda like tar and feathering without the flight options that feathers provide.

This used to be my favorite electrolyte product, however the new packaging if horrible. they are nearly impossible to open without scissors but worse, a large % of the packets have a breach and are rock hard and you have to cut the bag to bits to get all the sticky goo out of the a total mess. I miss the old packages where i could just tera them open and pour powder in water and drink. Now it is always a hassle and a big sticky mess at the bar. WHY did you change a good thing? reinvent the wheel,

According to the package nutrition information, each serving has about 1/3 teaspoon of sugar (based on 5 cal per serving) and no artificial sweetener. However, when mixed in 16 oz water, this is extremely sweet tasting. Makes me wonder where all that sweetness comes from.
