When you drop the sachet in is it supposed to float to the top? I don't see any fizzing. Do you need to pour the contents of the bag or just the bag?

I JUST DROP THE BAG IN DO NOT OPEN IT, IT FLOATS A LITTLE BIT WHEN YOU DROP IT IN AND SOON GETS TO WORK REMOVING ALL THE LIMESCALE WHEN FINISHED REMOVE BAG AN DISPOSE OF IT AND RE BOIL KETTLE A COUPLE TIME THEN YOU WILL SEE A NICE SHINY KETTLE ENJOY YOUR CUPPA. I ALWAYS US E THESE,ONE THEY ARE NOT EXPENSIVE AND TWO SO EASY TO USE WITH NOT TASTE AFTERWARDS

Can these be used on a stove top kettle?

I don't see why not. So long as you follow the instructions on the back, it should be for any kind of kettle.

Would this work on older kettle that’s never been de scaled

It worked on mine but I had to use several sachets. There may be a more suitable product available out there. I don't know. A hardware shop would advise you.
