Omnipure Q5586 Q-Series GAC Phosphate Water Filters

It fits perfectly for my Under sink Harvey’s water filter cartridge. Easy and simple.

As others have mentioned, this works on a Harvey’s install perfectly.We hadn’t changed our filter in 3yrs as our hard water tap is lesser used anyway. It took 5secs to unscrew the old one and then a few more seconds to screw in the new one….then 5mins to clear up the black charcoal water that spurt out of the tap all over the counted as I whacked it fully open! Serves me right for rushing the job and not thinking.One tip which I should have seen coming!: Upon installing the filter, have a deep jug or bucket under the tap head and open the tap slowly. You need to prime the filter by letting the water run through it for a good few minutes until it is running clear. Spurting of the water is normal hence why a jug/bucket helps with splashes.Harvey’s tend to be overpriced and their filter was over twice the price of this.

The filter was delivered on time as expected.However the filter was delivered loose in the Amazon pack with out any security tags etc.Not a major concern but still would be appreciated if it was packed in some material to protect it.Upon fitting i open the tap and the usual carbon was visible on the water. Let it flow until clear.I look forward to clean drinking water for the next few months.

After checking the website decided to use it replacing Harvey water filter. Fitted and worked very well.

Always had issues when filling bottles or taking a glass of water to bed finding it would taste horrible.This sorted that out for me and fitted in the place of the Harvey filter we had

Doesn’t fit anywhere near as well/tightly/securely as the Harvey versionHad to re-purchase the branded version to get the correct fit
