Goodbye tears!
It really works! No more tears as it says! Incredible!

The seller was EXCELLENT and I can only write a glowing review of ...
These googles do what they said they would do, they prevent your eyes from watering when you are peeling or slicing raw onions. If they could only remove the onion smell from your hands they would have been prefect, just joking. Nevertheless they are well worth the investment because they work. The seller was EXCELLENT and I can only write a glowing review of my experience with her. The googles took some time to come as they were coming from the States and Royal Mail charged me an extra eleven pounds in import duties and handling charges. The seller refunded this amount to me when I complained, and did it promptly and with such sweetness I will definitely shop with her again. I was very pleased with this purchase in the end, even though it had the potential to have gone very badly, it went quite well, thanks to the seller.

Do a good job
I like these goggles. Less tears for sure. Just slightly slack around ears. Definitely advise buying them as makes cooking with onions and leeks much better.

Practical and Sexy
These are amazing! My son gave me a pair for Christmas and it's one of the most successful presents I've ever received. I'm very sorry for the chinese person whose review says they don't fit "a flatter face" - perhaps the manufacturer reads amazon reviews and can be persuaded to re-model for a huge market! But they fit me and the million friends and relations I've bought them for. Dame Edna? Not at all! My husband says they make him smile and are very sexy (but maybe that's just because he knows I'm doing real cooking when I'm wearing them). Seriously, for the first time ever, I've been able to cook with onions and stay sane and happy and we are all healthier for it.

Do the job...mostly.
These Goggles are a great idea. They look cool when you're in the kitchen. Resembling a Sky Diver, it would almost be fitting to be wearing a parachute whilst chopping your onions. They do what they're supposed to, to a degree. They're tight around the head, but still have a gap under the eyes, allowing vapours from the onion to penetrate. Your eyes will still sting, just nowhere near as intensely as cutting onions without wearing them. If they created a perfect seal below the eye, then these would be perfect.

20kg onions - not one tear
OK, so I needed to peel, slice and cook 20kg of onions in an evening and it struck me that a little assistance might be necessary. I react horribly to onions and I knew this was not going to be pretty. So, I invested in a Mandoline: Chef's INSPIRATIONS Premium V Blade Stainless Steel Mandoline Food Slicer, Cutter & Julienne Slicer. Best For Slicing Fruit & Vegetables. Heavy Duty & Professional. Includes 5 Different Inserts, Cleaning Brush & Exclusive Blade Safety Sleeve. , highly recommended, and these goggles, and I set to. The first indication I had that these were working was about an hour in when my children came to me with streaming eyes and begged me to stop chopping - the fumes had gone into the dining room and the living room and the atmosphere was pretty much unlivable and I happily stood in the epicentre of the damage, chopping away. Excellent product.

Excellent goggles
I don't know if these are the best because they're the only ones I've tried, but they do a briliant job, are comfortable, and I would definitely recommend.

Lifesaver for me!
I looked at these for over 2 years wondering if they really worked and thinking how silly the concept. After cutting myself badly and requiring stitches the last time I had to handle onions because I was sobbing so hard and my eyes burned so badly, I thought, what the heck? I caved in and purchased them. It was that or give up cooking with onions forever. Now, one might think I'm exaggerating but I'm not. I have never, ever been able to peel or cut even a single onion without the flood gates opening everywhere. I've tried all the tricks, including wearing gloves to keep the odor from my hands to no avail. I have brothers in the both police and firefighter fields and aside from making fun of me (that's what brothers do and I'm used to it), they have both at some time or other told me, amidst their ridiculous laughter, that my reaction to onion fumes is quite similar to the training methods for both police and firefighters where gas masks are required for a jaunt through the smoke or gas house or mace is used during training. I cannot say I disagree with them. I'm more than a mess. I must admit I was extremely disappointed when I tried these on. Although I need reading glasses for close work, when working with onions I couldn't wear the readers anyway because of the pain and tears in my eyes - just couldn't see, so the fact that these don't fit over prescription glasses wasn't a big deal for me. My disappointment was that they don't fit snugly against my face so the rubber liners were pretty useless. Rather than return them, however, I spent a few more bucks on a sports strap that secures glasses to one's head and tried them together. Just this morning I made 2 huge crock pots of beef stew (yeah, we're shoveling out still another foot of snow here in the Northeast this morning) and that meant onions. I tried the goggles with the security strap and didn't cut myself once, didn't cry, didn't feel the burn in my eyes. I could barely smell the onion fumes and found myself still wearing the silly looking goggles when I carried the stoneware to the actual crockpot base. I could have removed the goggles at least 8 minutes earlier and forgot I had them on. These work. Plain and simple provided they fit accurately. I'm going to get another pair and another strap so if this pair wears out, I've got another waiting in the wings. I couldn't be happier with this product unless, of course, it came with a security strap.

No more tears!
I really suffered from an allergic reaction to onions. When slicing just 1 onion, my eyes would burn and I would tear up so much I couldn't keep my eyes open to finish cutting it. These goggles TOTALLY ELIMINATED that. I had no burning, no tears. I felt maybe the slightest irritation but it passed in a second or two. If you suffer as I did, I would highly recommend this product. It's not often a product lives up to its claims 100% but, for me, this product is perfect.
