While LOVING the Rode reporter and the broadcast standards from Beyer etc, this mic is very impressive - and outstanding at the price. We're using them to record interviews for a community radio station, and the results are barely distinguishable from the "pro" mics that we grew up with connected to our "Uher" recorders!! Low handling noise, long cable (fixed cable - no XLR etc) and comes with a 4-pole 3.5mm jack for a smart phone. No headphone socket or similar - so if you want to do any monitoring, you'll need to get some adaptor(s). All in all a very very decent mic.

I am using this microphone to record voice/interviews for audio and video programmes on a Sony digital audio recorder (also purchased through Amazon). It is an excellent omni-directional unit (picks up sound from all round) and delivers a high-quality sound. It is light-weight and with quite a slim body, so I use a sprung clamp microphone holder on my stand, as the pictures show. For the price, I am very impressed, as are my clients when they receive their videos. Many thanks.

I am bitterly disappointed with this item. It claims to simply plug into an iPhone but it does not work. My iPhone 6s just continues to take the sound from its internal microphone. All the pictures on Amazon would suggest the microphone is attached to a suitable TRRS type connector. IT IS NOT! It is attached to an unsuitable TRS type connector and comes with an adaptor. Neither of these work when plugged into my iPhone. Curiously the microphone does work through the adaptor when plugged into my MacBook Air but this is no good to me as I wanted to use the mic to conduct interviews with my phone while out and about. I tried messaging the seller Chenfec but my messages have been completely ignored. It is very poor of them to describe an item which simply does not do what they claim. I will be returning for a refund.

This product is very simple but works extremely well. Simply plug into your headphone jack on your device and start recording. I found it particluary useful for making videos in a crowded environement with lots of background noise. The morcophone picks up the sound it needs to and you get very little wind disturbance that you might get with a normal builf in mic in your mobile phone. The lead is plenty long and I've had no issues at all with this product.

Does the job worth for the price 👌

Good quality for the price. One note - I bought this to record film footage on my smartphone. It doesn't work with Android camera - which still defaults to the on-board mic. Works for voice-recorder or iPhone.

Too clumsy to use with ipad/iPhone.
