Putting this together is no joke because there are so many redundant safety measures to ensure nothing will flex. I don't think a half dozen gorillas could break this thing if it's properly put together. (Maybe if they all jumped on the slide... but I digress.) It took me about 4 hours with my 7 and 2 year old helping. So I think it might only take 2 hrs if you had someone to help you get the overall frame up (1st step) and then the rest you could do alone. Instructions are 100% visual with some measurements, no words, but they're clear. Everything is included, except you'll need a drill with phillips bit for a few parts.Design is just ideal for kids--mine absolutely love it. I love how it creates 2 special spaces, one above and one below. They are going to get a ton of joy out of both over the years, and I imagine we'll end up with 2 eventually.The "low VOC" claim is meaningless I realized while unpacking and smelling the very noticeable smell. Literally, it's a relative term, anybody can claim that I guess. We use zero VOC paint, so we're not used to those smells and my 7 year old commented on it. For the price (with tax about 350), it's so very well worth it. The quality is absolutely unbeatable for the price. I've seen it elsewhere for 5-600, and I still don't think that's overpriced. The only part not made of pine are the slats to support the mattress, and I genuinely believe they made the choice to use plywood for strength/load bearing reasons. We'll just keep a window open in that bedroom whenever possible until the smell is gone.

Full disclosure, we got this for our dogs, so I doubt it's getting the wear and tear one would expect from human offspring. However, I'm a hefty individual (200+ lbs) and this thing holds me up there with my pup no problem. It was easy to put together (plan first! lay everything out and check that you have what you need) and has lasted about 5 months now. Our dogs absolutely love it and their crates fit underneath - so it's really cute!

Update: slight smell back after months of winter, may be dependent on weather/ humidity. Took off a star.Update: Smell went away within about a week. Kids can stick reusable stickers on the slide. It's more wobbly than at first, likely need to tighten screws bc adults have been going up there quite a bit to read.Update a few days later: there has been some sort of off-gasing smell that we've noticed, waiting to see if it will go away.Original: This came early and everything was in PERFECT condition, very impressed!!! No chips out of the wood, marks, or anything. Very pristine condition!!! Going to be able to use this for a variety of different configurations. You can put mattress underneath for a bunkbed, or make the bottom into a fort, storage area, or reading nook.Took a couple of hours to put together, the hardware can be a little confusing since it is labeled by a few numbers instead of letters. But the wood has excellent and easy-to-read number stickers on each piece. Instruction ok is pictures, and it is much like putting Ikea furniture together.The ladder and slide go out a little farther than you might expect, so measure your space first. The great thing is that the slide and ladder and interchangeable and can be switched or removed if you rearrange things!Younger children may have problems going down the slide, there is a little lip on the bottom of the slide that can be covered with a pillow if they bump their feet on it.Pictures are shown with an old style about 8" mattress on it. Bottom mattress is a thicker one. 8" really is the safety max, bc you will want the 5" of rail as they suggest.We haven't had any problems with the slats but might get a sheet of plywood or cardboard to put underneath if it becomes a problem. Using the cardboard it came in could be a temporary fix.An adult can sit under this with no mattress underneath, but it will be difficult for an adult to sit underneath it with a mattress on the ground. You may be able to fit under the slide! Slide holds 100lbs, bed holds 400 lbs, so an adult can potentially climb/sleep on top if using the ladder.Great setup! Really impressed!!! Just be sure your mattress is 8" or less and you have the space for it.Wonderful product for kids during pandemic!This is awesome!!!

You could spend hundreds on a bed like this, but using the low profile bed and adding the tent on top with the flat PVC connector worked perfectly. My autistic son now has 2 private areas where he can retreat to when overwhelmed or just to play. He has a whole area under the bed using the window curtains this company also makes. Seriously, when I was young, I would have loved a room like this.The stability is great, keep in mind it's not made for adults, but my mother has actually slept in this bed numerous times. It's not as heavy as the old school beds because the wood is not as thick but it holds up. I did have help putting it together, there's no way I could have done it alone with my son here. I would recommend this product every time.

The media could not be loaded.  Purchased this bed to transition my son from his crib at age 2. It’s nice and sturdy and I love the loft style because it’s a space saver. The railing is perfect so I don’t have to worry about him falling out of the bed. He slept through the entire night his first night in the bed. He was so excited about the ladder. He climbs in and out with no assistance. We installed lights underneath to serve as his nightlight. It’s a fun bed for a kid and I like that it’s not as high as other loft beds. He’ll definitely keep this bed for years.

It is easy to assemble, perfect Color white, size and height. I wish it will have a wood quality of bed plate or the surface where the child is lying down, because the wooden grid plates are poor quality, easily breaks. I needed to place a flat wooden light board plate on it, and I’m glad my child is light weight. The rest of the wood are sturgy and quality. The design is perfect for my children. They like it.
