great product. does drop temps by 10degrees on gpu and cpu.always best to put it in the fridge for a couple of minutes to make it easier to cut and apply.way more efficient than thermal paste.just wish sizing was abit better

Was not 80mm x 80mm piece. It was a used piece with rectangular pieces cut out.

I used it after using liquid metal.At first I thought it is bad because the temps were very high... But the longer stressed the processor, the better the temps became... After one week, it became as good as liquidation metal with the exception of being more safer to apply....

Bought this to replace a poor application of liquid metal on a laptop. Seems to be doing the trick so far. Temps were significantly better on the CPU even after the first stress test. The GPU saw a little improvement too though it was a lot less dramatic. But again, I have now only cycled the material around 3 or 4 times. So perhaps more improvement will come over time given the nature of this material. The price can be seen as a bit much but I find it reasonable given how much of it you get. To cover both the CPU and GPU (direct die admittedly since its a laptop, so may vary if using for other devices), it only took a small percentage of it. Then also considering the lack of maintenance this material typically needs, it is worth the cost over regular paste in my opinion. Though regular paste may still make more sense given the exact use you have. I still intend to use normal thermal paste for my desktop CPU for instance. The main downside is definitely the application process, which has been mentioned many times. But as long as you go into it knowing what to expect its not too terrible. Just a little annoying and cumbersome to work with. I kept it cool in the fridge right up until the point I went to apply it. Getting one side of the plastic covering off is easy then it will want to break a bit when removing the second part after one side is applied. I was able to coax it off with a toothpick while dealing with only a little breakage. Overall mileage may vary here and its the most annoying part of using this material for sure. But again, just go into it prepared and it wont be as bad. But its certainly not as easy as applying thermal paste. I cant really speak to how it compares to liquid metal. As I only have experience in removing it. And as far as performance this is the only instance where I have a direct comparison between liquid metal and a different material on the same hardware. But this seemed to be a bad application of liquid metal, something Ive seen other complaints about for the specific laptop I have, so its not directly comparable. From what Ive heard though you can expect similar, if slightly worse, peak performance, while also maintaining the lack of need for maintenance. So it seems like a good middle ground. Especially given that liquid metal seems cumbersome to apply too given its risk. So overall I would highly recommend this material, especially given certain applications. It will probably be my go to for laptops that need material replacement in the future.
