After a year of use, I am very happy with my JetStream. It has proven to be a huge time saver and has helped me to accomplish what I set out to do in reducing the muck, weeds, and algae on and around my property. Here are my main takeaways: 1. It moves a lot of water - our stagnant bay is finally seeing some healthy flow and things feel fresher. 2. The JetStream seems to aerate things pretty well and I could see from early on that water clarity improved after running it. I'm sure the fish will appreciate this (as do we!) 3. The materials used on the JetStream are thick, strong, and it's obviously very durable and well built. Part of the reason I purchased the JetStream over competitors was the lifetime warranty on the structure, mount, etc. and the build quality hints at that. 4. Operation is simple but using it is an art. It has easy-to-use controls, but figuring out the angle, depth, etc. takes some practice to get it just right. Then again, I'm picky, but now that I'm getting the hang of it, I really like it. 5. The size - I was surprised to find it looked larger than I expected - which I suppose is a good thing. It definitely works well, and has done so consistently for about a year now. It has cleared up my 60 foot shoreline and I now feel very comfortable using the blower. 6. Beyond getting rid of all of the nasty stuff that we don't want in our swimming area, it helps me continue to maintain it by blowing away floating weeds and algae, leaves, etc. 7. It's more fun to use than I expected! It's very satisfying to see it little by little clear away all of the stuff the kids don't want to touch and try different positions, angles, and blowing "strategies" to get rid of stuff.

Initially I learned of the Jetstream Aqua Blower when my neighbors purchased one. They seemed very happy with it and I decided to look into it further. I searched around the web and concluded that the Jetstream seemed like the most mobile product and the best value overall, mainly due to the great Google reviews which were very helpful. I would definitely recommend reading those reviews as the review quantity here is fewer as of this posting, making it a little harder to get a feel for the quality. Anyways, I decided that my back had been through enough raking and took the plunge! I received the blower very quickly, I think it was in 3 days despite Amazon saying it could be almost 2 weeks. It came in a single piece other than the stake, so I was able to take it out of the box and get to work with it in a few minutes. At the beginning there was a lot of guesswork as far as how to angle it and how far down to stake it, but I decided to go back and read the manual online, and that was a big help. I was able to clear up the shallow water space near my dock in a few days, pushing away silt, leaves, and some small floating weeds out. It is now a beautiful sandy area which you can see in the picture I included. Since then, I've been focusing on moving out to the deeper water past 3 feet, moving mainly muck and weeds bit by bit. Luckily my son is really helpful as well and between the two of us, we move it around often, which seems to work great for keeping the area free of floating weeds and leaves, and slowly makes the lakebed firmer as the silt and muck is moved away. Most importantly, my back has been very thankful! A few side notes: -When using the Jetstream, it seems more effective when tilting it upwards, and can save you from digging a long oval-shaped hole in your beach! Definitely lean towards angling it further up than down. It is powerful and can move a good amount of sediment quickly. - I decided to purchase the Jetstream here on Amazon as opposed to with the manufacturer, Admiral Lake and Pond Restoration, even though it was cheaper on their site by almost $200. I did so because I feel comfortable going through Amazon and like it's return policy. Having more familiarity with the company now, though, I would probably save myself the money and purchase directly with Admiral. -Speaking of the company, they included a nice, hand-written note for me in the box (and my name on the outside of it). This kind of thing is so absent from our culture nowadays and is just such a welcome departure from the "big corporate" approach! I really appreciate the attention to detail and the personable approach. Thank you!
