Sturdy, pretty and nicely sized
I didn't want to add a bar in my shower, but my visiting mother did. This fit what I was looking for, not so big, pretty, and has a non-skid handle for her. So glad I found this one!

Useful
This Shower Grab Bar is useful to me as it adds stability when entering and exiting the shower. The photo I took shows how I installed it vertically. I mounted it this way to make it easier to grab by people of different heights. The grab bar uses six screws to anchor it to the wall (three on one end and three on the other end). I drilled the holes into my wall, and inserted the plastic sleeves into the holes, to get ready to screw in the phillips head screws, and anchor the grab bar to my wall. But there was a problem. I found that the plastic sleeves that I received were made of a hard type plastic. And that made it difficult for the screws to enter it. The result was that the plastic sleeve rotated in the wall as I tried to twist in the screws. You might be thinking, she must have drilled the holes in the wall too big. I didn't, I even had to set the plastic sleeves with a hammer. I then tried to lubricate the screws a bit, in a effort to make it easier for them to enter the plastic sleeve. It didn't help. Fortunately, I have extra plastic screw inserts in my shop. I selected a better set of plastic screw inserts (they grip better) into the wall. Problem solved, I was able to firmly attach the grab bar to the wall. I recommend you use a phillips head screwdriver (not a drill) to gently tighten up the screws into the plastic sleeves and anchor the grab bar to your wall. Doing this will allow you to avoid stripping out the plastic wall inserts in your wall. I hope this is helpful.

Appears to be very well made
Have not yet mounted this bar due to my house needing wall units handled properly to work right. This unit is very well made of strong steel. So, when I get it installed I suspect I can get many years of service out of it. I will add further information when I can get my builder to let me know how best to mount this unit.Found out most effective way of affixing it to the wall and expect it to do well using the method my builder recommended. My house is an ICF building and things are not easy to attach to an outside wall.
