This kit includes the NEW Mk4 Sky minidish and the new style Sky compact quad LNB, along with brackets and four bolts for wall mounting (if you want to pole mount it you need the V-bolt which is an optional extra). The new dish is a few centimetres larger for better reception and general performance improvements. It also has pre-built brackets, so you don't need to bolt them together - they just fold out and snap into place. The LNB is fitted with the new bracket for this dish which holds it securely with no "wobble". The kit components are matched for guaranteed performance. All you need to add is the cable and connectors. We also include our Satgear alignment instructions and setup diagram. The dish is a Zone 1 dish, not guaranteed to work in Scotland or Ireland, although the new larger size makes it better than the previous minidish. It is ideal for upgrading to Sky+ or Freesat where you want to provide extra capacity to watch up to four channels at a time on dual-tuner boxes (Sky+ or Humax HDR Freesat+) or just to add additional receivers.

satisfying satellite dish
I ordered this thinking I was taking a chance. I was pleasantly surprised. It arrived within a few days and was so easy to install I actually did it from a window without a ladder on the first floor. Whilst I don't recommend you do the same I am pleased with the amount of money I have saved by doing it this way. It took me 2-3 hours to do it because my hammer drills battery is nearing the end of it's life and I had to recharge for a half hour after each of the four holes. The parts fit together very neatly and thanks to the concise instructions included in the packagewithout confusion. The offset angle was already correct for my area (London) and after pointing the dish in the same direction as my neighbours I quickly achieved a 73% signal with 70% quality and then using the signal information section included with freesat's on screen menu (I'm lucky enough to be able to see my TV from the same place I can adjust the dish from) within a half hour I had 100% signal with 100% quality. I've monitored the signal over the past week or so and it seems to fluctuate between 83% and 100% and always seems strongest at night.I've now found that I can even get some non freesat channels and I'll continue to experiment.I thoroughly recommend this package providing you have the tools and the ability (or a man/woman who can)to erect it. Incredible value.

You need a South facing wall
Ok, so I bought this dish with every intention to install it myself, however, through no fault but my own, the dish does require to be wall mounted and to a South facing wall. Great, because the one thing about my house is that it doesn't have a South facing wall, unless you include my neighbours house, but I'm sure they don't want a dish fitted to their house for my benefit. So, not able to wall mount, which means it must be mounted to a pole looking over my roof. This kit didn't come with a pole, and, how do I know what I'm supposed to buy?How much would it have cost me if I decided to install this dish myself?Oh well, I want it done properly, so, £100 to some bloke who knows what he's doing, job done.He did say "Where's the 10m cable?" it was supposed to come with. (Not in this advert matey.)Luckily, I had some Coax in the shed and told him to crack on with that.Very pleased. I now have Freesat. So now the wife can stop whinging about not getting all the shopping channels. Damn, I think I've shot myself in the foot.

No installation instructions - but easy to see how it goes together
Arrived about a week early, quite securely packaged in re-used cardboard and a mile of sticky black plastic wrapping. There were no assembly instructions but it only took a quick look at the photos here to work out what went where. Have yet to connect it to the SKY box - but past experience suggests that this will be relatively straightforward. The only fly in the ointment could be that the LNB doesn't function as the arm is specifically made to take the supplied LNB.Post scriptum - All up and running and discovered that you could easily replace the LNB if necessary. The disk is a bit wobbly despite tightening all the screws and bolts - but so far no issues with picture quality. All in all it took about 40 minutes from start to picture.

Cheap, Works
Well, for the money one is not going to get a gold plated dish. Having said that, it's study. well made and works well for my Freeview system. After all once you have the digital signal, you've got it regardless of how big, small or flash the dish is.The LNB appears to be a SKY one or at least similar. That means if you want to upgrade to a more sensitive LNB which tend to be 40mm ones then you will need to change the mounting adapter as well.Mounting the dish is simple. You fit the wall bracket which is sturdy and solid then bolt on the hinged dish arm. I did this first then fitted the dish simply to reduce the weight and make it more accessible when I was doing it although you could mount the dish first if you wish.Once fitted you have plenty of scope to maneuver the unit to find the satellite. The only tricky bit is that you have to very firmly tighten the nuts and bolts up to ensure that high winds won't move the dish and that means you end up moving the dish a bit as well. It might take a few attempts to get the bolts tight and the dish correctly lined up.For the money, it's hard to argue about this. Cheap, well made and does the job well.

Great value for money
I was a tiny bit nervous before installing this dish (on the outside wall of a converted garage where I had re-sited our Sky + HD Box) as I had not done anything like this before. However, I need not have worried. The dish came complete with a Quad LNB (more than sufficient for the Sky HD Box, which requires two feeds and the Freesat TV which required another) together with a fitting bracket and reasonably good fixing instructions. The dish was put together and fixed to the wall within an hour and it took me about 5 minutes more to locate Astra/Eurobird (using the signal strength meter built in to the Sky Box) and fix tight the last two bolts. It works perfectly. I have a very strong signal (which seems stronger than the signal I was getting from a larger, professionally installed, dish in the main house.Delivery was quick and the dish was very well packed.I have no hesitation in recommending this well built, easy to fix and good value dish.

Super fast service
Having had the original Sky dish damaged during building work, this dish has proved a very good replacement - the picture and range of available channels is just as before so full marks. Delivery was within 24hrs of the order being placed therefore I was pleasantly surprised at the speed the item was processed and dispatched. The only issue was the instruction leaflet which had poor (faint) diagrams so I had to guess how to assemble, that said a good and very competitively priced dish.

OK but a little bit flimsy
The dish is fine, but I would have preferred the metalwork slightly thicker/stronger so that the dish is more rigid when mounted. We'll see what happens when we get strong winds but I suspect it will move. Like others I had to add extra bolts to stop lateral movement even though I had tightened the supplied bolts as far as they would go.But - for £22 it's pretty good!
