Metal Storage Cabinet with Locking Doors and 3 Adjustable Shelves, 53.5-Inch Lockable Storage Cabinets for Home Office Garage Kitchen Pantry (Black)

We have a small kitchen that has very few cabinets and no pantry. I have been looking for the perfect size pantry cabinet for quite some time to fit next to this minuscule kitchen in the only spot available. It needed to not be very deep, but tall, at least 7 ft, to give us plenty of storage space, because this was going to be a tight fit. I also wanted it to look nice, preferably wood and have a modern look to it, but not cost an arm and a leg. I had spent about six months looking and could not find anything with those specifications. Time to settle for function over form. This is a great cabinet! Yes, it’s metal, which isn’t great for in the house, but it really doesn’t look too bad. It is very well-made and I was able to put it together without any help from my husband. The directions were understandable and all the pre-drilled holes were actually lined up right. It is very sturdy, and each shelf can hold a lot of weight, as you can see in the picture where some of the shelves have a lot of canned goods on them. I love the fact that it has a small cabinet on the top that can be locked, so I can put goodies in there that can be kept secure from kids who like to raid them. Could see it being used for other things, such as alcohol if you have older kids in your home and don’t want watered-down vodka. I’m very happy with this purchase.

This fits my need for having easy access to medication administration and emergency action plan binders, equipment, and first aid supplies used daily in the school setting, then having them locked securely at the end of the day. It is sturdy enough for my purpose. The only tool required is a Philips Head screwdriver. If I had a cordless one, and a second person to assist, it would have been quicker than the 4.5 hrs. for me to assemble on a Friday night in an empty school. The pictorial instructions were good but not perfect, requiring me to remove the top, turn it around, and re-screw it, in order for the doors to be assembled. I can't comment on the magnets since I did not add them and the doors are fine without them. Overall, a great purchase and worth the cost out of my clinic budget to keep needed items organized, accessible, and secured.

These are nice, sturdy cabinets. Assembly was easy enough by myself and didn’t take too much effort. About 30 minutes to put together. It would be easier with a helper, but possible by yourself. A screw driver is all you need. The instructions were well written and easy to understand. I’m using them in my garage, but they would look nice enough in an office setting. My only complaint is that one of the three I ordered was missing a major panel. Luckily this was the second one, so I took the panel from the third and returned that. The return was easy, but would have really difficult to disassemble and repackage if I had to, and I probably would have been pretty upset if that was the case. They do come packaged nicely with protection. Overall, I’m satisfied and would have given them 5 stars if not for the missing piece.

Needed a locking metal cabinet to keep organizations documents in. A safe would have been overkill. Looked at Staples and cabinets were way more than we wanted to pay. Then looked on Amazon and the thing that caught my eye was that this one came with 4 keys. That was a major advantage as our group leadership needed keys so we didn't have to keep arranging to get a key. The package was very heavy (79 pounds) but I was able to maneuver it with a small hand cart. Once I got the box open I saw it was very well packed with steel end caps and hard board sheets on all four sides. Inside everything was incase in a filmy material and foam. It was very easy to assemble. Only difficult parts in the assembly were: 1. the doors which are supposed to be installed after the bottom and top of the cabinet were fastened together and the shelves installed. That made it impossible to fit the door pivot pins into the holes at the top and bottom. I ended up removing the top pieces screws fitting pins into the holes and then reaffixing the screws. 2. the small plastic wedges that were supposed to snap in above every shelf to hold it in place. I just couldn't get them to fit into the slots so I gave up. As long as we don't knock it over the shelves should be fine without them. So this cabinet will meet our needs for the time being with 4 shelves and lots of space to keep our required documents reasonably secure.

I got three of these cabinets to put side-by-side and create a wall partition in my bonus room and they work great! They were super easy to assemble. I think each one took me about 30 minutes start to finish. They are sturdy and good quality and provide a TON of space. I love the extra top space for the added height and storage space. I also like the option to remove it if desired. Great cabinets!

Sturdy and serves it's purpose

Out of all the flat pack merchandise I've ever purchase, this is probably the best quality item. Everything fit together perfectly out of the box, literally. No futzing, no tightening/loosening/adjusting/tightening/cursing/repeating. Everything just lined up and assembled smoothly, and once assembled was quite sturdy. I almost couldn't believe it, and certainly would not have if I read a review which said so. But here it is. All pieces arrived in excellent condition, even though the box was banged up. The manufacturer fits a small "crate" made of formed steel end caps and 1/8" fiber board which absorbed all of the impact. Two of the shelves had minor bends in the side supports which must have been from manufacturing, but did not affect assembly and are not seen once assembled. Once locked, it is quite secure. I would have liked if it also included a pawl to secure both doors together, but the top/bottom lock points work just fine. If you need a locking cabinet in this size, I don't think you could do much better than this.

Ordered two of these cabinets less than two months ago. They seemed decent enough, however both cabinets the locking mechanism has stopped working. The keys will not lock or unlock, one went out a week ago and now the second one has stopped working as well. I have reached out to the seller, will update if they have a resolution. Pretty bummed this happened just outside the return window.
