Working good on every day use, fast and easy to use. Does normal computing with ease.

Good computer and fast

This laptop is not for my household already! There's no touch screen when I specifically typed in laptops with touch screens. The battery drains entirely too fast, the speaker volume is horrible! I feel cheated , saddened and ripped off!! I normally stick to HP and the one time I decided to go out of my normal,this is what I get!

Machine runs smoothly overall. Runs very quiet. Can perform light duty functions well (ie, YouTube, banking, browsing, shopping). Viewing angle from side to side is okay. Vertical viewing angle is limited (color fades if not viewing at the correct angle). And screen contrast is not great. Overall, the machine is good for light use. You might want a better screen if you plan to stare at the screen for a long time.

I like that I can download Chrome browser & other apps I need for my business, & it's pretty fast. I don't have much waiting time between apps & research. I'm diggin it so far. I'll update my review in time, if needed.

Lenovo Laptop Model: 14" FHD IdeaPad 3, 20GB RAM, 512GB PCIe SSD, Windows 11 Home in S modePurchased: June 14, 2023I purchased this laptop in June 2023 for my daughter as a birthday present. The laptop was delivered to a friend in the US in just 3 days, which actually exceeded my expectations. Was finally presented to her in July and she loved it. It booted fast and run her favourite applications and games properly. This was a massive improvement over an old Windows 7 laptop she had been using.Fast forward a few months later, we tried testing the camera for online meetings and courses using various software (Google Meet, Zoom, Skype, etc) only to find out that the camera was not working. As an IT person, I tried every trick both in and outside the book to no avail. Driver updates, BIOS and chipset firmware updates, keyboard F8 and Fn+F8 keys, camera shutter on/off (mechanical contraption) all proved futile. Checked all possible Windows 11 settings, including Lenovo support recommendations but could not get it to work. Can only conclude that there must be a hardware problem - probably torn/loose cable, faulty camera hardware, etc - as it was not detected by the OS.Given that the laptop arrived out of warranty (something I was not aware of), I believe this was a refurbished and upgraded piece of hardware; camera must have gone faulty with previous use. With warranty expired, there's not much I can do other than trying to open the laptop myself to check for faulty camera parts. Will report on that later once I get the time to carry out that investigation.As online courses and programs were a primary use-case for purchasing this laptop for her, we were both very disappointed that the camera ended up not being usable. Aside this issue, the laptop has been great and performed well in all other areas tested so far. 3 stars given because of the product issues; Amazon service was top notch as usual.
