A nice challenge
This is the third of these puzzles I've bought. They are made with quality materials and the colour transfer is very good. They are a bit of a challenge (which I like) especially this one as the colours are quite muted, dark and in places not greatly contrasting with the surrounding pieces. This is not a criticism as the colours reflect the original image showing the castle in a setting sun/dark skies background. Only a thousand pieces but will still take some time to complete.

Motif is the only redeeming feauture
This puzzle is ribbon cut, measuring 50x75cm / 25x40 pieces. - One missing piece. The box includes a request form for replacement pieces, albeit in Japanese. I will update my review, should the manufacturer be willing to send the missing piece to the UK. - Loosely cut pieces. This decreases confidence in correctness of piece placement and makes it impossible to move sections without them falling apart. - Glossy finish. This creates glare, making it hard to identify details. If you are reliant on overhead lighting instead of natural light, you will benefit from using an additional light source to counteract the glare. ~ Does not fit a Portapuzzle 1000. + Lovely art. + All pieces can be clearly identified within the reference image on the box. As this puzzle is priced 2-3x higher than a 1000 piece Ravensburger puzzle, it is very unfortunate that the quality/experience was subpar. I will not be purchasing from this manufacturer again.
