This improved door function over the medium tag
Needed more sensitivity for the dogs to improve door function. This helped and now we are doing well with the Smart Door. The dogs have gotten used to the delay in the mechanism so it's all working. Cats stay in Dogs go in and out as they wish.

Buy a different key ring
The key ring that comes with these is SOOOOO bad that the slightest snag and the tag falls off. We had it for 3 days and it fell off. So upset with the cost that they can't even put a descent ring on it. the vet gives better ones with the rabies tags. I feel like they make them poorly so you have to replace them.

Collar attachment is very poor
The key works fine enough. I wish it detected my dog sooner before reaching the door. It works enough though.The main issue I have with the key is the way it attaches to a collar. The little metal ring on the key connects to the key with this flat metal attachment to the key. Basically, it is VERY easy for the flat metal to unwind from the ring. The result is that this collar falls off your dog in less than a day of playing around. We had to search all around our property to find it a couple of times now. For now, we wrapped the ring with some duct tape to keep it from falling off, until we find a better attachment solution.This really is something that the manufacture should be able to fix easy and cheaply. Please fix this.

Doggie door
Both me and my chocolate lab dog Blue, love this. It give him the freedom to come and go anytime of the day or night. Saves me from running up and down a flight of stairs all night.!!!!!!! And in hot weather he can just go out anytime to lay on the deck and cool off. Best investment ever

Not good with high energy pets!
I have 2 dogs so I had to get an extra one of these as the smart door I purchased only had one. Works great for one dog but not the other one. Both dogs are relatively the same size so what's the difference? One dog is patient enough to stand in front of the dog door long enough for the door to recognize the tag and unlock. The other dog cannot stand still for the 5 to 10 seconds this takes so the door never recognizes his tag.
