Soft, fluffy, easy to use. Do not recommend for most reptiles, coco anything can cause high risks of impaction, only really recommend this for some snakes & a VERY limited geckos, though this would not be safe for bearded dragons, crested geckos, leopard geckos etc. I’d recommend Reptisoil for those animals. Regardless not a bad product if used properly.

It works great

Bought for my bearded dragon, who loves to dig and burrow. Took about 4 bricks to give a decent amount of substrate for his 75 gallon enclosure. Every other day or so I put about 20 oz water to mix with the loose, dry fiber and it helps keep the humidity where it should be, and the consistency my scale son likes. Definitely will get these every time I deep clean his tank.

Very satisfied. The quality is good and the price is very affordable. I hope that they will not raise the price ever. I use them for my tortoises cage and it takes care of mold and odor. This is infact my 3rd order, I will be continuing ordering this for as long as the quality stay the same and the price.

Honestly it feels really good, only thing is remember to let it dry first, my honest mistake. But my corn snake really seems to like it and burrows in it a lot.

Very easy to use and one brick goes a long way. It does tend to hold moisture for long periods of time, so if you are wanting a soil-loving or setup-expect extra time to allow the substrate to dry out. Otherwise it’s a really good product. (Couldn’t use for the school Russian tortoise b/c he is apparently the only tortoise in Texas that is allergic to this substrate.)

Give it time to become soft after the water is on it. It makes a much softer bed and easier to burrow. My tortoise loves it!! Make it the day before you clean the habitat so it is dry.

Bisher hatten wir solche Kokusfaserblöcke immer aus der Tierhandlung gekauft und nie Probleme mit gehabt. Jedoch sind diese hier im Wasser nicht aufgegangen und das Volumen ist gleich geblieben. Dabei war es egal ob wir es als ganzen Block im den Wassereimer oder auseinandergezupft rein getan haben. Bekommt trotzdem einen zweiten Stern weil es zumindest günstig war und die Schildkröten den Untergrund mögen.
